LOL i watched him get "Bigger" and then after he got resigned he dropped like a rock,he even admitted it.

It is true. There is a doctor in my hometown whose brother is a team doctor (at least he was back in 2001) and he was told by his brother the same thing. The doctor/team had nothing to do with it, but they knew it was the case.

So, I don't post over the weekend and the resident Husky fans in here take the homerun thread and turn it into 'Guys with Small Dicks in the Lockeroom' thread. Uh huh. Typical.

Huskies? For a moment, it sounded more like Penn State.

(too soon?)

Just about everyone on the Mariners and Rainiers were juicing on 01, Rainiers players would openly talk about it. Truthfully I wasn't even aware there were negatives or it was illegal with how open the players were and easily accessible it was.

There could be an arguement made that Nelson Cruz is having the best offensive season in the Safeco Field era. Better than Boone's season in 2001 and 2003. Better than anything Edgar did and better than anything Ichrio did.

OPS+ is a modification of the OPS stat (OBP + SLG) that factors in ballpark offense ratings. With 100 being the league average rating, Safeco Field has a rating of 97 this year.

The list of highest OPS+ in the Safeco Field era are as follows:
Cruz 178, 2015
ARod 163, 2000
Edgar 160, 2001
Edgar 158, 2000
Boone 153, 2001
Sexson 144, 2005
Cano 143, 2014
Jaso, 142, 2012 (and Jack promptly trade him. LOL)
Edgar 141, 2003
Booen 141, 2003
Olerud 140, 2002

HIghest Mariner OPS+ alltime, including Kingdome era:
Edgar 185, 1995
Cruz 178, 2015
Junior 171, 1993
Junior 171, 1994
Edgar 167, 1996
Edgar 165, 1997
Junior 165, 1997
Edgar 164, 1992
Arod 163, 2000
ARod 161, 1996
Edgar 160, 2001
Edgar 158, 2000
Edgar 158, 1998
Davis 156, 1989
Junior 155, 1991
Junior 154, 1996
Boone 153, 2001
Edgar 152, 1999
Phelps 152, 1986
Junior 150, 1998

Offensively it isn't hard to argue that Cruz is having one of the best offensive seasons in Mariners history.

I don't doubt that he can provide the offense...

Compared to the fact that everyone else is just offensive.

Cruz is now in one of the cycles where he looks completely lost at the plate and swinging at shit way out of the strike zone. He went through the entire month of June like this - .239 BA and one homerun. Hopefully this down cycle is going to last as long.

And he is now the second Mariner to hit 40 home runs in a season since opening Safeco.

Dongtown... That sounds like a scary place
It's the latest 'hipster' word sweeping the message boards for the act of hitting a homerun. I kinda like 'piss rocket' myself.

Sims: Nellie Cruz with another upper decker. Boomstick Baby!
Buhner: Yeah, no doubt about that one. That motherfucker was a piss rocket.
