according to ESPN he's going to sign a two-year deal with Dallas. That's just what I hoping they would , 2 years.

Hopefully the dollars aren't too high. I like a back of his style added to the mix and also think with the injury history of both McFadden and Dunbar having another back without that history is a very good thing.

Hopefully we sign Robinson soon too and add some players in the defensive backfield as well.

Cowboys add Washington running back Alfred Morris

Alfred Morris has always played well against the Cowboys, and now he gets to play for them.

The Washington free agent running back has signed a new two-year deal with Dallas, per multiple reports.

Morris is coming off his worst season as a pro, with just 751 rushing yards. In fact, he’s gotten progressively worse each year after his 1,610-yard rookie season.

But he has 710 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in eight games against the Cowboys, so maybe they were more moved by that trend.

He gives them a veteran complement to Darren McFadden, but it’s still a far cry from a running game which was one of the league’s best two years ago.

Rock solid move. I mentioned this before FA began.....it would be a smart pickup to tag team him with McFadden and insurance in case D-Mac gets hurt.

I guess I will be honest and say that this must be a depth move. we still need to draft a runner.

You're spot on PDay. Hellava guy and wish him the best. Every team needs more Alfred Morris's in the locker room.

so you've said, but then again....those opinions can be like ass holes.
You know what an ass hole is, right?

Let me give you an analogy

Im a Yankee fan...Chase Headley is one of the best guys in baseball...By all accounts an incredible teammate, individual, and the proudest to be a Yankee of anyone......Took less money to stay in NY, etc.

I can totally appreciate that and Chase the individual

I would also throw a rooftop party like NYC has never seen, if they traded him tomorrow

I think Skins fans should be throwing that type of party today

I second that. Not much to talk about this time of year cuz i don't get into all the mock draft BS. Team A gets a draft day grade of C and team B gets an A and 3 years later after the players perform the results are reversed and no "expert" ever goes back to see how wrong they were.

The reason his production suffered really wasn't his fault. New coach, new scheme etc... I think running behind that line in Dallas he'll be fine. It's never a bad thing to have good character guys in the room, hell as a Cubs fan David Ross serves zero purpose on the 25 man roster playing Lesters butler every 5th day but it is what it is

I'm with you. I've always found that I tend to value my opinion more. I've said many times, nothing worse than opinion based on an opinion blasting from the roof top.

All Fair, cant knock the importance of character guys on a team......I just think he's a throwback runner in a game moving, or already moved in a totally different direction.......

I think this is great. We don't have to reach for a RB in the draft now. If one falls to us so be it but it is not as much of a need like it was a few days ago.

And I really like this kid. On and off the field.

My opinion is based on production, skill set, adaptability to the game as it is today, etc...

I believe Matt Jones and Chris Thompson were the preferred options on the Skins last season, because they are better suited for most, if not all, NFL offensive system in todays league

Why do you say that?

And how he fits on the Skins with a young RB they possibly see as a 3 down back and how he fits on the Cowboys with a fragile vet and an injury prone scat back are not the same. As I said from day 1, if the dollars are low this is a great fit for Morris and Dallas. We need a short yardage and goal line back and a durable guy in case everyone else gets hurt. Doesn't matter to me what Wash or NYG think about his fit with their teams and it's not like we are even bringing him in to be a starter. I struggle to see any down side "IF" the dollars are reasonable.
