Well fuck, again. I think Brandon Crawford retired after his last hurrah with the Cardinals. He is deserving and his sister is kinda hot so he is eligble and certainly deserving. Then there is Will and Jack, brothers from different mothers.....and fathers.
Will is the other

OK. I'm raising the white flag. The only other guy I can think of is Baumgarner. His career with the Giants was so short but maybe they retire him because post season dominance can not be ignored.
I only expect Posey and Bochy to have their numbers retired from the Championship years. Everyone else was important, but no individual player was transcendent.

OK to end the guesses:

the 3 black OFs in 1951 were Willie Mays (easy), Monte Irvin (less easy), Hank Thompson (impossible)

The 2 living numbers retired are Will Clark and Barry Bonds

I actually almost said Hank Thompson. In the winters, me and my brother grabbed the Baseball Encyclopedia and played "Name the Lineup". You had to stick to 1st Division teams post 1900. You couldn't ask "Name the lineup of the 1882 Worcester Ruby Legs". But I thought Don Mueller was the 3rd OF.

We had to entertain ourselves somehow in the endless WNY winters. We still do this. Out of the blue one of us will say "1929 A's". Foxx, Bishop, Boley, Dykes, Haas, Simmons, Miller and Cochrane. Easy one
LOL easy for you maybe

I did something similar to occupy my mind during runs or whatever, I memorized every World Series, Super Bowl, and NBA Finals winner. For someone like you that would not be too difficult. NBA is easiest, tons of repeats

I don't follow the NBA so you would make me look silly there

We were such sports nuts back then. With no internet, it was all print. We devoured The Sporting News every week. And had fist fights over the preview magazines, Sporting News, Street & Smith, Athlon. We did other trivia games. Name the college of every starting QB in the NFL. If I live another lifetime, I'll remember that Ken Anderson went to Augustana College

You should get this one then. 4 colleges each produced at least 3 QBs who started in the Super Bowl. One had 5 (one of the 5 kind of a trick). Name the colleges and the QBs

Cal has 5 including a trick one (same as Hurts). You mentioned him above

There are two other schools with 3 each. Lamonica is actually from one of them, he didn’t go to Occidental. Good job on Kapp

Purdue! Dawson, Griese and Brees

Former Congressman Jack Kemp went to Occidental. Lamonica went to Notre Dame. Mixed my 60's Bills QBs

Always remember Kapp because he coached his alma mater in 1982 and drew up "The Play"

Purdue is correct

Notre Dame is the final one, Lamonica, Montana, Theisman

Ferragamo is the 5th Cal one (he didn’t graduate from there but Hurts didn’t graduate from Bama either). Gonna be trickier ones like that with the transfer portal

I remembered that David Woodley went to an SEC school and thought either Alabama or Georgia (LSU actually) and tht would have given Georgia it's 3rd with Stafford and Tarkenton.
