So I'm really happy with this mock draft. I didn't nesscarily got who I wanted in the first but I think there is a lot of value in this mock.
First, in this simulator you get trade offers from time to time. I accepted an offer from ATL to move back to 6, then offered another deal with BALT to move to 17.
Round 1 Pick 13: Calvin Pryor, FS, Louisville (A-)
Round 1 Pick 17 (BALT): Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan (A)
Round 2 Pick 5 (ATL): Ryan Shazier, OLB, Ohio State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 12: Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State (A)
Round 2 Pick 16 (BALT): Dominique Easley, DT, Florida (A-)
Round 3 Pick 11: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss (A)
Round 3 Pick 15 (BALT): Louchiez Purifoy, CB, Florida (B)
Round 4 Pick 10: Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU (A)
Round 5 Pick 13: Ed Stinson, DE, Alabama (A-)
Round 6 Pick 12: David Fales, QB, San Jose State (A)
Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Kadeem Edwards, OG, Tennessee State (C-)
Round 7 Pick 11: Rob Blanchflower, TE, Massachusetts (A-)
Round 7 Pick 26: Jonotthan Harrison, C, Florida (D-)
Round 7 Pick 34 (COMP): Andrew Jackson, ILB, Western Kentucky (D)
Round 7 Pick 35 (COMP): L'Damian Washington, WR, Missouri (A-)
I took Pryor at 13, because I really think he's going to be a pro-bowler for us. Also, most other big names were off the board at that time. At 17 I took Lewan, because at 17 how do you not take him??? I'm not a fan of him at 13 at all but at 17 things are a little different and getting a right tackle to play on the opposite side of Long is a good idea. I also think Jackson can step in and start on the inside line, with this draft our starting line got a lot better and we added a decent amount of depth.
I would also expect Shazier to start. That would make 4 starters from this draft PLUS Dominique Easley who I would bet would be a starter in year two if he doesn't win the spot this off season.
I also think Moncrief, and Purifoy, Hill, Stinson, and Fales have HUGE upside! While we don't get a "fancy" player like Clowney, Matthews, Robinson, Watkins, I much rather have ALL of these names then just the big one up front.
