I do my best e'ry time to help remind people of the other greats from way back when. But e'rytime I get the only lefty to K 300 batter before Koufax.
I would view that as a positive for old time guysIt is very hard to compare eras for pitching because pitchers were treated so much differently in each era... pre 1900s there have been pitchers who pitched up to 600 innings in a season, that is over 2 seasons of work by a post 1990s pitcher...
I like my team, no drops when I come upI'll text 500 to see if he has drops

I actually think that's a great idea. Draft stadiums,obviously a team with Ruth and Bonds might do well at Coors, great pitching and D improve with a 450' CF fenceIt does, I agree... But what hurts them IMO is how strike outs were rare(due to style of baseball back then) and HRs were rare(due to cavernous stadiums)...
next baseball draft maybe we could make a 25th round and have stadium played in...

I had a similar idea I meant to add for NFL draft.... in one of the 1st two rounds, you have to draft a HC...and you will be graded on how the team you pick fits that scheme. Example, if you take Parcells, you'd better run a 3-4 with huge front 7 personnel, and if you take Bill Walsh, you'd better not draft a guy with Tim Tebow's accuracy. It would be really interesting to see if guys took a player with their 1st pick or a coach.....

I just saw an interesting stat...
From 1871-1912, only one season the differential between ERA and RPG was less than 1.
From 1871-1900, only 8 times was it less than 2
from 1871-1876, it was always over 3.... and was over 5 four times...
After 1912 it was never more than one...

There you go talking Chinese again...

He was messing with you lolERA= Earned runs per game
RPG= Runs per game
differential means difference...
How was that in explaining??
Point lol. 6 months ago, not at all, but the group we have now doesn't miss much. Besides, you and I can help RitzHow confident are you everyone knows schemes?
