problem with Blyleven was he was only an all star twice, was never better than top 3 in CY award, and his best 2 seasons were worse than the other 3... But after that he was the clear best IMO... Hunter was the clear worst, but he had a great 3 year stretch...

Ended up choosing Niekro because statistically he had the best 2 seasons... But I am still debating with myself on who to take of those 4...

I still can't believe how bad I screwed up my trade with nos. I gave up the 1 figuring I could take Johan Santana with my 4, then I realized that he was not on the Mets for 5 years and can't be used with that bucket. and after all that I saw the UK had taken him in the 12th round anyway.

I feel like once per draft I make a giant error, it is getting frustrating for me, it is not like there is ever really a rush to the process.

Yea, I make a couple mistakes every draft too... I think it is impossible to have a perfect draft...

Me too, I based an entire trade on him! I figured Babe Adams and Johan was better then Hal Newhouser and Red Faber. I am not sure that is the case for Babe and Sale. Sale is awesome, but he does not have a ton of years either.

Guess I could have gone Babe and Red, but that leaves me with only 1 left hander in my rotation.

It is always interesting to see everyone's thoughts about old time players like Babe adams compared to newer players... I almost went with a couple pre 1920s pitchers... But second guessed myself... It is amazing how we consider Walter Johnson, Cy Young and Christy Mathewson so great but forget about others who played at the same time...
