Early July at the latest. I think mid-June is MB's all-star break / mid-point.

Gallo another 3 for 4 night with a walk and a K. 1 RBI that puts him at 50 on the year. Coming to an Express team near or not so near to you soon I would think

Didn't realize Juremi Profar has already played 2 games at RR and has 2 hits in 6 AB's in 2 games. He turned 18 jan 30th. Gonna be fun to see how he develops

30. Texas Rangers: Luis Ortiz | RHP, Sanger (Calif.) HS

The only reason Ortiz was still on the board because of his injuries. When he's healthy, only Holmes and Aiken have better pure stuff than he does. He can touch 97 mph with his fastball, and he has underrated feel for pitching. His delivery is somewhat similar to that of Josh Beckett, and he's got similar stuff to a younger, skinnier version of Freddy Garcia. I think the Rangers just got their best pitching prospect with the 30th pick, and he could be in the Texas rotation by late 2016.

From CBS Sports:

RHP Luis Ortiz, Sanger HS (Fresno)
A forearm strain sidelined Ortiz for much of the spring, so scouts haven't been able to see him as much as they'd like. He's a big guy at 6-foot-3 and 225 lbs., and he's already had to work hard to keep his weight in check. Ortiz has a low-to-mid-90s fastball, a wipeout slider and a very good changeup, plus he has shown the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate. There are no concerns about the quality of his stuff or his pitchability, just his health and conditioning.

Bleacher Report Grade for Day 1

Comp Round A (No. 30 Overall): Luis Ortiz, RHP, Sanger HS (Calif.)
Luis Ortiz emerged as a can’t-miss draft prospect after his junior year. The right-hander opened eyes on the summer showcase circuit while pitching in prestigious, high-profile events such as the Area Code Games and the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
Ortiz also served as the closer that summer for the USA 18-under national team, where he recorded three saves including the gold-medal game against Japan to clinch the IBF World Cup.
Ortiz is one of the older prep prospects in this year’s class and lacks physical projection at 6’3”, 220 pounds. However, neither of those concerns can discount the fact he boasts an explosive 92-96 mph fastball from an easy delivery, complemented by a sharp slider in the low- to mid-80s that profiles as at least an above-average offering at maturity.
He missed most of the spring with forearm tightness but recovered in time for the draft.

Grade: A-
Ortiz's ceiling is one of the highest among prep right-handers, as features a plus fastball/breaking ball combination that still has room to improve. As long as he stays healthy, this pick could go down as one of the draft's biggest steals.

Second Round (No. 59 Overall): Ti'Quan Forbes, SS, Columbia HS (Miss.)

Forbes is one of the more intriguing prep prospects in this year's class, as he projects for at least average tools across the board and won't turn 18 until late August.

Grade: B+
As they do every year, the Rangers snagged a plus athlete with raw-but-promising baseball skills who quietly fell outside the first round.

Final Day 1 Team Grade: B+

Yeah thats what I meant, should have been sleeping not posting at the time. Thanks for the correction, don't want anyone to end up in RR instead of Frisco looking for him.

While I am really excited to see Gallo moved to Frisco I hope the team can find a way to keep Rua and Joeys bats in the lineup Ryan Rua has had a good season so far for the Roughriders.

Rua also plays 2B, so no worries there
