Minnesota has a cumulative losing record going back 80 years. I'm not sure what back in the day is for anyone alive.

This has to be what makes Minnesota so damn good right now, right?

How can anyone forget that from 1900 to 1905 the Gophers went 65-4-5 with three undefeated seasons?

Or that '34 & '35 + '40 & '41 they went a combined 24-0.

Or that they won 10 games in 1905 and didn't win double digits games again until 2003. In 2019 they went 11-2 though.

Isn't a grand total of six 10-win seasons (four of those between 1900 & 1905) in 131 years of football worth celebrating on a nonstop basis?

Yeah, another simple minded moronic statement, the 10 win bs, ignoring the fact that for a large percentage of college football history, teams didn't even play 10 games.

your simple minded thinking conveniently skips over ALL SIX of UMn's National Title seasons, since 5 of them were only 8 win seasons, and 1936 was just a 7 win season.

AND, what makes them good RIGHT NOW,

is for one, the return of the OC from the 2019 squad.

and

is the players the NEW COACH has recruited onto the team,

6th year senior QB, whose led UMn to #20 in completion percentage nationally and #5 in yards per completion,

6th year senior RB, whose now had an NCAA current record holding 11 straight hundred yard rushing games, 3 straight where he had his 100 before halftime, with the best rushing #s of those last 3 games coming against Ohio St, He's only a pre-season 2nd team All-American. And his 4 backups are all ALSO averaging over 5 yards per carry.

6th year senior WR, whose now caught a pass in an NCAA current record holding 40 games. 5 of his backups are ALSO averaging over 18 yards per reception.

6th year senior Center, whose a pre-season 1st team all-american, whose helped lead his team to over 600 yards of rushing, good for 2nd in the nation.

5th year Kicker, who hasn't missed a kick so far this year, and last year kicked the 5th most fgs in Gopher fb history and before that was the 2019 MAC special teams POY.

OL transfers from Michigan and Notre Dame, who despite not being starters on their old teams, have stepped right in here and made the starting lineup and are fitting in like fingers of a hand into a glove, along with that 6th year center and a talented young soph gaining praise for his play so far.

5th and 6th year TEs who are both helping out the #2 ranked running game and are also catching more passes than in the past, and long passes, too, in part because of the return of the OC from 2019.

now that is just the #1 ranked in Total Offense, #2 ranked rushing and #5,16 & 38th ranked passing offense.

I can do a similar analysis of the defense, remember UMn ranked Top Ten nationally in defense at the END of last season, and only a few of those players graduated and some good recruits and transfers apparently have come in or stepped up to fill those holes. That happens you know, not just at Bama or OSU, but at lots of programs.

From 1900-1941, Ohio St couldn't muster a single season with more than 8 wins, lol.

I have never over-pimped anything Ohio State. You over-pimp everything Gophers.

Nice try. But yet again you failed in spectacular fashion.

Starting in 1900? Wow okay. Ohio State's first season of football was 1904. And after that season they didn't play again until 1913.

You should look up Ohio State year to year record. If you pay close attention you'll notice that most seasons between 1900 & 1941 were only 8 game seasons.

So you're laughing at Ohio State because they didn't win 8 games in several seasons where they only played 8 games?

Damn man. Thanks for the laugh.

The hell you are. Here are some really stupid things you've said going back just a couple of years.

-you've bragged multiple times about the number of Gophers in Canton. They have 6, tied for 8th all time.

Other programs with 6 HOFers. The U, Illinois.

These programs all have more HOFers.

Syracuse (7), Bama (7), Pitt (8), meeeechegan (8), Ohio State (9), N.D. (10), USC (11)

Umm, don't know how to break this to you chump, but Minnesota has SEVEN in the pro football hall of fame, not 6.

Syracuse and Bama each are up to 8 now as well. So all you were right about, by accident, is that UMn is STILL ranked 8th all time in this category. Not sure how being ranked 8th all-time is something to be embarrassed about?

UMn's SIX recognized national titles ALSO ranks them up in the Top Ten all-time in that category as well, something Syracuse & Illinois can't claim but USC, ND, OSU, Mich, Pitt & Bama CAN claim. Those two categories combined put UMn up into some pretty accomplished company.

Seems you are either a moron or your source is outdated, lol.

OMG you are stupid, you just made my entire point for me you moron, lol.

come on people, someone point this out to him since he has Fred Derangement Syndrome and won't accept anything I post.

And OSU didn't start football until 1904? Wow, you might want to inform Wikipedia of this fact, because they have OSU season records down as if they occurred, with coach names and everything, starting in 1890, you moron, lol, don't even know squat about your own team??

And same with 1905-1912, wikipedia has records and coaches names for each of those seasons, too.

Wow, you really are making this way too easy for me chump
