But my point was the QB marketWell, he is his own agent. My opinion he’s way overrated and ravens would be dumb as he is If they pay him top salary

When's school start? He is better than those QBs. You will see this season.
Cmon...you're a football guy, put down the division foe glasses. Take out all Chief games, this kid shows like Mahomes to be a stud. The issue I have is that every QB looked good against the Chiefs last year. So its 'yeah, he was good, too'.
There is a reason everyone is on the Chargers hype train again. Its Herbert
Fair since what happened happened, but thinking careers might be different if Stafford was drafted by a Reid coached KC team and Mahomes by Detroit. So, we're going to forget his Lions career existed? Is Eli Manning elite? Stafford wasn't even top 10 on most people's lists until last year. I don't even have 10 QB's in my tiers 1 and 2.
Sure. Kirk Cousins looks pretty good too by the numbers. Nobody thinks he's tier 2 either though but dorks in Vikings twitter.Fair since what happened happened, but thinking careers might be different if Stafford was drafted by a Reid coached KC team and Mahomes by Detroit.
No doubt Cousins (and Stafford often in Detroit) could be viewed as empty stat QB because they were so often putting up numbers in futile comebacks...which is great for their FFL owners, not so much their real teams. But stafford was put on a better team and did come through. Can he do it again? We'll see.Sure. Kirk Cousins looks pretty good too by the numbers. I think my main beef with Stafford is he had better help offensively than people want to admit. Especially if he is talked about as an elite QB (which roughly where tier 2 should begin, imo) he should've been producing more than empty calories (and statistically it wasn't that great outside of volume) in Detroit. If you give Rodgers, Mahomes, and Brady those Lions teams they wouldn't roll up and die. They wouldn't have the excuses flying. No doubt Cousins (and Stafford often in Detroit) could be viewed as empty stat QB because they were so often putting up numbers in futile comebacks...which is great for their FFL owners, not so much their real teams. When have I ever said Herbert stinks, though?Cmon...you're a football guy, put down the division foe glasses. Take out all Chief games, this kid shows like Mahomes to be a stud.
And yes, a QB that has shown the required abilities at this level drives the hype train everytime
You're better than this.
I think he is, too. Is fair to say if he went into the situation Stafford was dropped into when drafted and vice versa they might have similar careers to the other in their situations (if that makes sense). To anyone doubting Herbert, watch him play a few games. He's a flat out stud.
I think there's a difference between saying Herbert is a stud and saying he's in the top tier with Mahomes.Cmon...you're a football guy, put down the division foe glasses. Take out all Chief games, this kid shows like Mahomes to be a stud.

while I don't really agree, those comments are fair.I think my main beef with Stafford is he had better help offensively than people want to admit. Stafford has a 10+ year track record and even last year he was 29th in turnover worthy plays. Stafford having 1 nice year is not a tier 1 make, being tier 1 essentially requires you to be an all time great or play at that level going forward, imo. Tier 2 is generally where the 2nd tier HOF'ers. Good QB's like Cousins, Prescott, and Muray are tier 3s to me. If Stafford lights it up again, we can revisit this and maybe talk about tier 2. But for now I don't buy it.Brady's considered the GOAT and Mahomes and Rodgers are on pace to be in top 5 or 10 all time at the position.
You can argue Stafford is tier 1/elite in today's NFL without having to be at the level of historically elite players at the position
sure do......missed it. Probably fair for both. Think JB a solid backup. Hoping the plan isn't for him to be the man if Watson suspension is longer than, say, 6 games.I have Brissett at 31
Watson would be top 10
