No idea about Mississippi but Pullman is anything but shitty. It's rural, and high desert but it has a low crime rate, great for farming, hunting & fishing and unlike Seattle it isn't full of homeless loving phegs.

People forget how good of a program MSU was when Mullen was there. I can tell you people in Starkville are beyond thrilled. Even if it doesn't seem like a great fit right now, changes will be made. This is usually a team with a dual-threat QB that likes to run the ball and play defense...total opposite bringing in Leach. His priority needs to be hitting the transfer portal for WR's/athletes and possibly an air raid QB. Should be interesting.
