While I don't think he should be fired in season, I do think the Nuggets need to switch coaches after the season regardless of where the team finishes.

While I do applaud Malone's handling of Russ this season, if it wasn't for that he could go as far as I'm concerned... This is his 10th season in Denver and the 2023 title should by no means offer him a lifetime contract.

Of course, I do question if Booth has the balls to fire Malone even after the season...

As far as other teams are concerned, I would also think the guy in Toronto should be in some trouble, tanking or not.

Explain a little further please. Why do you want the coach that brought the team its only NBA title less than 2 years ago fired. Do you think he has lost the players? Is he doing a bad job developing talent? Is he not managing talent and rotations well?

The Nuggets are still a top tier team in the very competitive West. Firing a quality coach could easily lead to the team's demise.

We only went 7-8 deep when the team won it all... Because Murray and Porter missed all of 2021-22, the 2023 team was fresh and the short rotations came in handy come playoff time.

By the time the 2024 series w/ Minnesota came around, that same rotation was predictably exhausted... Malone has no idea how to use a bench.

Booth tried to reinforce the bench over the summer by bringing in stretch four Dario Saric. Malone has barely used him. Last summer, we gave up three second rounders to void the final year of Reggie Jackson's contract. If Booth has to do the same thing in 2025 w/ Saric, then some soul searching needs to be done as a franchise...

I believe the right long-term coach for the Nuggets is already in house - David Adelman. A young, fresh voice, and Rick's kid...

@logic would know a little thing about letting a coach go shortly after a title... Larry Brown???
Larry Brown bailed for the Knicks, which he thought was a better move for him. The Pistons would have been happy to keep him if he did not force his way out. I don't hear of Malone flirting with another team, do you?

This seems more of a Booth issue than a Malone issue. Besides Braun, who is developing nicely, the depth on this team is not very good. Saric is playing 13 minutes and doing basically nothing. You can't really blame Malone for wanting more minutes of nothing, it would lose more games. Where would you suggest that Malone go to for quality minutes beyond the top 8 players to additional rotation? I just don't see who you can get minutes out of on the remaining roster that isn't going to cost you precious games. Again, more a Booth issue than a Malone issue, but a common concern with teams with top players--there is only so much money to go around with the salary cap.

Saric is useless, was a useless bench guy for the Warriors last season

Didn’t you say Denver has very little depth? And that is a major issue for this team and now just two years after a title, the coach fired?

Seems like an overreaction, I get it. A lot of fans are quick to overreact. I found myself doing the same.

Malone and Reddick need to go. Nuggets are 1 and done.. Lakers were stupid for getting rid of Ham.. Reddick is too young to be handling all those egos in LA

LOL.

You realize the Lakers have a better win percentage this year than last right?

Ham was nothing special. Players didn’t listen to him. Redick may not be any better, but he isn’t worse.
