We just have to keep winning, keep getting recruits. Results against OSU will come, especially with a coach willing to acknowledge failure and attempt to adjust to them. Can you imagine how hopeless MSU fans feel right now?
Wait, what Coach is willing to acknowledge failure? You can’t be talking about Harbaugh.

He’s fired coaches nearly every year there but refuses to hand over the offense to anyone. Until he actually does hand over the offense, I won’t believe it. Talk is cheap.
Harbaugh hasn't really lied about anything like that to make me think he's doing so this time. Everyone involved, down to the players, have indicated he's done so.

Quit talking about Malzahn like that.

I wonder how many games it will be in the season before Michigan fans figure out they hired and handed their offense over to a guy who couldn't even beat out a guy who was only given the position because of recruiting for the actual "OC" job.

I'm going to say after week 3.

I hope so. I feel this thread can have wings for a long time coming.

I knew we had a "Co-OC" this past season, but it was actually Dan Enos. So this guy was way lower on the totem pole and now suddenly Harbaugh is going to hand this guy the offense and turn it into a up tempo offense with what I assume are players he didn't recruit for such things?

The hope is that he's better than the guy who couldn't land a job in college football or the NFL so he had to go to the XFL....

Hmm, plenty of coaches would disagree. Especially the two that just jumped to OSU after being with Harbaugh for a few years for almost double the pay. Or Shaw at Stanford. Or Jedd Fisch with the Rams....Or what's his name at Maryland before he killed that kid.

So you name two defensive coaches, a coach that's been better than Harbaugh and a guy who was fired before and after Harbaugh? Not exactly the best group to go with.

You can't argue that a former Harbaugh assistant is doing better than Harbaugh in the same sentence you're trying to argue that my point is invalid because it's not a great group to go with. Those are contradictory points.

What former Harbaugh assistant isn't doing well right now other than Pep?

Again, he was doing well as a coach. Maryland was doing quite good. Until he killed that kid. Which isnt' so much related to Harbaugh or football.

Without looking, I feel like there was more hope surrounding the program and recruiting improved under Durkin.
