Wait... there a "Crabtree" on the 9ers? All this time I thought you guys were talking about NinerSickness and his crab-like tree avatar. Or is it a tree-like crab?
Michael Crabtree, Wide Receiver, San Francisco 49ers. Frank Gore and Vernon Davis probably would've welcomed a little bit of help against the Giants defense, but it wasn't going to come from Crabtree. He spent his afternoon in Corey Webster's hip pocket. If Crabtree wakes up in the middle of the night to pee, he's going to have the urge to ask Corey Webster for permission first. Crabs was the 10th overall pick in 2009. By now, it's not too much to ask that he be able to get open and make plays in a game like this. He needs to have a long talk with Vernon Davis about what it takes to realize one's potential.
Colin Cowherd is a retard. Every replay they showed he had a defender fucking super glued to him. We knew all along he was a slug. Yesterday just put an exclamation point on it. I truly want him off the team ASAP.
agree with you raydogg. He can't get any separation. Giants had three legit WR's on the field, and the Niners had none. Hope the Niners address this issue thru FA and the draft. I feel so bad for the defense. They played their hearts out and had nothing to show for.
It's just disappointing. He was almost universally seen as a top 5 talent and pick.
Deep speed was always mentioned as meh so that isn't it.
It is like he is playing on a tilted field. Brandon Lloyd is like in control of his body and can maximize his avg physical ability. Crab is a little bigger and better physically but can't pull it together.
It looked real bad when Crabgrass couldn't seperate from someone with ninety something trailing him in coverage on a play about half way through the game.
49ers NEED Desean Jackson and his game breaking ability.
Actually it seems like Lloyd is pretty attached to McDaniels at this point......he's been outspoken that McDaniels is the only OC that plays him in a multifaceted role rather than possession WR or role player. I'd guess that's why he went to cellar-dweller Rams rather than one of the contenders this year, he was most concerned with being productive and getting a new contract.
Without knowing who else is out there - I definitely agree. He would obviously be an upgrade over what we have now.
Lloyd/Morgan/Crabtree/Williams/Ginn would be a pretty good receiving corps and probably enough of an upgrade over this years group to allow us to compete into the playoffs again. I wish we'd had Morgan for the playoffs.
