Tyler Herro, SG, Kentucky the pick for the Heat. Seems to be a Heat fan from the image ESPN put up of him as a kid.

I think 13 is a bit high for him - but I still think he is a pretty decent fit for the Heat.

He sounds like another white-chocolate/Tyler Johnson/Jason Williams in the making with the way he talks.

All this being said - I am happy that the Heat selected a guy that gives them something to work with and not some project I was afraid they might go with instead.

Now, we await to see what kind of magic they pull in the second round.

There was a lot of chatter that Langford might be the pick for the Heat - Boston gets a good one.

I am intrigued by the KZ Okpala addition. He is raw on both ends of the court but has enough upside to look forward to.

That being said, he may be a guy the Heat stash in their G-League system to groom if they are interested in a real rebuild - or could be cut loose at some point as the Heat often do with pieces like this given the low-risk and cost to get him.

I personally hope the Heat work with him and groom him enough to see where his potential takes him. Its time to invest more time on younger guys.

Hassan has exercised his player-option with the Heat.

Now, lets see if he is actually willing to go out and earn it on the court rather than just expecting for it to all be given to him.

2019 NBA Draft grades, team-by-team picks: Hawks, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Spurs earn As, but Suns get a D

Miami wound up with a pretty nice haul getting Tyler Herro in the back end of the lottery and KZ Okpala, a player teams were rumored to be considering in the first round, in the first half of the second round. Need proof on the bargain? Here's Herro, from Thursday, on his suit: "It speaks for itself. I mean, look at it. Best drip here." What a treasure. Herro is going to be a star in Miami, and Okpala has star potential and a perfect fit to discover it with the Heat. Grade: A

Per Andrian Wojnarowski - Jimmy Butler expected to meet with the Heat on Sunday. Obviously, he also has other meetings lined up later in the week - so, this may not be a sign -- if you will - of much with regards to the Heat beyond just meeting.

The Heat would be required to do a Sign-And-Trade in order to acquire Butler, per Woj.

Jimmy Butler is a quality player - and even so on the defensive end, which the Heat would love -- But, his attitude would be a massive problem for the organization. It is for this reason that I don't like our chances of getting him - but we can dream.

Reports of the Mavericks being willing to be the third team in a potential trade to help salary wise in the pursuit of Jimmy Butler for the Heat -- as long as it includes Goran.

I don't know about that.

Sounding more and more like Jimmy Butler might want to play for the Heat after all.

Depending on how things go, he may not take other meetings after all.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski - the Heat are finalizing a S and T with the 76ers for Butler - the deal will include Josh Richardson. If that is all we have to give up to get Butler, I will not be mad AT ALL.

Unfortunately, Goran to the Mavs also seems to be happening to make cap space.

Heat will be back to being up against it cap wise for 2019-20 season with this move.

Maybe if the Heat can find a way and have the guts to part with the useless and overrated James Johnson in some form -- it may help them some cap-wise.

Hassan Whiteside has been traded to Portland for Mo Harkless and Myles Leonard.

Now Hassan can go to/and ruin a team with his mentality that he is entitled to getting playing time without having to earn it.

Back to whats important - I am interested in seeing whether the Heat will keep Harmless and Leonard -- or if this is just one of their famous salary dump moves where they acquire guys to facilitate a trade to get rid of guys -- and then follow it up by dumping the guys they acquired.

Today marks a very important point in Heat basketball - with Hassan now gone - the Heat have finally rid themselves of all the diva personalities that have plagued the organization for too long.

In Riles AND Spo I trust. The Heat don't "tank". The Heat rebuild AND reload.

Its going to be great going to AAArena this coming season knowing the divas are gone - which means all the bandwagoners are gone -- for now.

The Heat are trying to unload the wrong guys in Goran,Winslow, Olynyk, DJ Jr -- they need to try and move the useless James Johnson and see what they can get for him to help their matters. He certainly isn't useful to the team in any way otherwise.

Maurice Harkless time with the Heat is over - he is being traded to the Clippers along with a future first round pick - Josh Richardson goes to Philly. Jimmy gets his max per Woj.

For now, Myles Leonard remains with the Heat.

Favorite Harkless Heat moment?

Heat showing interest in Jamal Crawford. Would be a nice veteran addition for the Heat.
