That's a lot of cheese for a question mark in goal.
At what point do we fire the PP coach?
Then again, they have nowhere to go but upApparently worst in the league 2 seasons in a row is not enough. According to the end of year press conferences Thompson will have that role again next year.
Woo, accountability…

I guess only Torts hold people accountable and not Briere and Jones.Apparently worst in the league 2 seasons in a row is not enough. According to the end of year press conferences Thompson will have that role again next year.

There is no way in hell that if Briere and Jones wanted Thompson gone he would still have a job . Just sayin. The head coach is responsible for hiring/firing his assistants. There's a reason Brad Shaw is an assistant under Torts for the 3rd different team right now.
Shaw is good though, fine with him. Thompson needs to go.

You say that like you know its fact. The GM and President of hockey operations make the hiring and firing decisions not the coach this is a fact. . If they want Thompson here he stays if they want him gone he is gone. If Torts wants him gone he goes to the GM and President and they make the decision to keep or let him go.He wouldn't have a job if Torts wanted him gone either. You said "only Torts holds people accountable", but he's not holding Thompson accountable.
I guarantee that in the end their going to go with whatever is working, right now Torts has the upper hand because he is succeeding. But other than that you're correct. You say that like you know its fact. The GM and President of hockey operations make the hiring and firing decisions not the coach this is a fact. . Would be surprised if Tortellini gave up his unilateral right to hire / fire his staff. Doesn’t seem to be his operating style. You say that like you know its fact. GM and President do the hiring and firing, coaches give them recommendations and if they want to take the recommendation that person gets hired if they dont like the recommendation that person doesn't get hired.Would be surprised if Tortellini gave up his unilateral right to hire / fire his staff. If the President and GM agree that a coach isn't warranted in asking to get an assistant fired they would not fire said assistant. So you think the Head Coach could want to fire one of his assistants and the GM/President would overrule him and say "no you have to keep that assistant"? Even when he's objectively been terrible at his job?
And even when the coach has clearly been the reason for getting rid of multi-million dollar players like Hayes?
Ok I guess.
