Hi bksballer et all. Just dropping in to say hello. Nice ride at the end of last season eh? What do you guys see for this season? Personally, I think last season might have been fools gold and we dished out contracts to meh players. Richardson is good every other night, Waiters has gone back to the norm and Tyler Johnson is WAY over paid. We overpaid for Boston's OK player but outside of Hassan and Dragic, we have a bunch of journeymen who played very well in a contract year. Let's see what we can do but not overly confident with the 3rd quarter swoons returning, Waiters regressing, Richardson being Richardson and Riley pleading patience after just 4 games. Good thing we play some weak teams.

Whiteside being out doesn't help but we need more from these other guys

We would have been able to survive Whiteside being out if guys like Tyler, Waiters, and Ellington actually showed up.

Waiters been a first half player this year. Give us nothing in the 2nd half.

Ellington was good for 1 half of play this season which was the 1st half vs Atlanta when he hit 6 threes.

TJ been playing like shit in almost every game. The only game he performed in was the Spurs game.

These guys need to wake up fast.

The other guys been doing their job without Hassan but it needs to be a total team effort to win without Hassan

They need to find someway to beat Minnesota on Monday. Chicago is pretty bad so that should be win but going 3-3 on this season long home stand with a 6 game road trip starting on Friday is not exactly the way you want to start the season following a 11-30 start last season.

Win on Monday and take care of Chicago then it is a 4-2 home stand which I'm fine with.

Yep. 6 game homestand early in the season with games spaced out and these results is quite alarming. Just don't see the hunger now that these guys have been paid outside of Dragic and Whiteside.

I mean JJ has looked good as well. Hard to argue with 13,6, and 6 on nearly 60% shooting. Kelly has been good as well.

However what made this team go 30-11 in the 2nd half was a total team effort. That is hard to do when 3 important pieces are MIA almost nightly

Does anyone know of any lingering personal issues Waiters is going through right now?I know he is a bit of a controlled hot head - but for some reason It seems to me he has a shorter fuse with his frustration levels this season already compared to last.It doesn't seem to matter if its triggered by off performances throughout the course of a game or calls against him he doesn't agree with - it just doesn't seem long before he is about to explode.

I think this is a factor in his inconsistencies thus far. I know the team approaches games differently with Hassan than without and that might be it - but is there more to it I am missing?

Also, last night our broadcasters mentioned about how this off performances by the Heat being due to the possibly of too many players in the rotation? What say you?

I don't think you could ever have too many.Depth or trying to create depth should be something teams strive for.

What the Heat/Spo needs to do is find the right combination of guys in the right situation. With Spo that is easier said than done - he is set in his ways - And while he may say he is open to letting certain things develop, I think the truth is he has already determined which lineup combos he is going to use in what situations and injuries are probably the only thing to force him to make adjustments. This is one of his fatal flaws.

Hopefully the Heat get as healthy as possible soon enough and Spo might be willing to try some things rather than beating the same dead horse for 82 games.

A little too early and dramatic for team meetings like this but I guess better now than when things start to unravel further
