Lots of bad fouls for the Heat so far giving the Wiz FTs chances - if we cut down on that, we should be fine as we are still in this game

Every time there is an occasion where multiple guys and bodies touch the ball and it goes out of bounds - it goes against the Heat - and a lot of those calls have been incorrect. As was said already -- we don't have a shot in this one much less with another injury and if we have to play the refs too

Down 14 at the half. This is what happens when you are down guys. This is what happens when you commit too many turnovers. When you have to play against the refs. The Heat are worn out - they will probably just quit soon enough - seems pointless to play under these circumstances especially so when the refs are against you as well

Don't let go of....the.....rope.......LOL. Maybe Spolestra can motivate these boys or maybe he can't when the team does not have 3 of the top 20 players in the world. We just suck. Back to back nights where we likely struggle to score 80 points. We are an NBA team not a D-League team. LOL. Figures we would likely lose by 20 or 30 tonight. Now with all these injuries, we may quit. My summary.

Gortat, another center, outplaying Hassan even before his injury.
Johnson still stinks and the good news is we are seeing it so hopefully we don't spend money on him.
Winslow still can't shoot.
This looks like a bad Raptors team when an aging alpha dog who can't carry his team. The lack of rebounding is amazing.
Not sure we win another game in January or maybe we get one.

Some people already asking what it would take to retain our first round pick.

Paula -- still glad the Big 3 Era is over? Enjoying life without Wade? We are shooting 52% and losing by 14. Quite amazing really. By the end of January, we wll likely have the worst offense in the NBA and defense will continue to slip.

Showing some fight....love it. And then Richardson comes up misses a defensive assignment, runs a bad offensive set and then gets lost when his guy hits a 3 and then a few other jump shots and down 15 again.

Wonder if we should have taken those 6 picks from Boston for Winslow now.....

Now down 17 and 12 minutes of misery remain. Had cut it down to as low as 5 with the great, usual half time adjustments but they answered back and this team just doesn't have enough - they are hitting crazy shots - turnovers continue for the Heat as E-Reid said, if the Heat cut that in half, its a different game even under the other circumstances

I will answer you the same way I answered my fellow fins fans when they pointed to Philbin being a lack of a " motivator" -- These guys are highly paid grown men, some highly overpaid to play a fucking game -- they shouldn't need to be motivated by anyone or anything else -- if they can't find motivation from within - don't expect anyone else to bring it out of them. Spos and this coaching staff job is to coach, not to motivate. These guys have to dig deep and do some soul searching and find the motivation from within themselves.

By the way, props again for staying true to yourself and showing up only when things get sour. Very typical

Thought that it woud happen by the end of January, but if Pistons and Celtics win tonight, the Heat will be sitting as the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference and with a plus/minus overall of close to zero. Further, with a couple of more performances like tonight, we may have the worst offense in the NBA in terms of ppgs. Looks like we won't hit 80 again.

Funny...using a coach who was fired mid season as an example of someone who did not need to be a motivator at th professional level of coaching. Will we hit 80? Will Spolestra miss the playoffs in two consecutive season?

The lack of rebounding is amazing.

It happens when you are without your starting center. You seem to not understand a team can't function with certain key pieces -- FYI when you tune into Sun Sports, or whatever station to watch a Heat game -- what you are seeing is real life stuff - its not a video game. Spo isn't out there with a control in his hand able to control 5 guys at a time -- they move freely on their own - and the problem with the Heat outside of UD and Hassan, when a shot goes up - the rest of the guys just leak out and don't even TRY to rebound thats why UD should get more PT especially when Hassan is on the bench - UD is the only on this team with a rebounders mentality.

still glad the Big 3 Era is over?

Yes I am. We were spoiled for long enough. Being humbled is a good thing ever now and again. Its what this lousy deserves as a reality check. Been a fan of this team pretty much since they came about -- I went through the entire process that lead to those championships - bumps on the road like this and like last season are apart of it. I embrace it. I hate it just as much as anyone who calls themselves a Heat fan but I embrace it. The big 3 and big name players like we had during our champion runs are great - but what I have enjoyed the most of watching this team over the years is the lesser names make their mark on this organization and write some of the best stories in the Heat history book. This what this team needs now - forget the big name guys - this generation of those type of guys are mostly " me first" kind of players and this team just doesn't need that. We need more team first guys, which we do have - but just not enough -- And thats why I am glad the big 3 days are over and why I am looking forward to the days Wade is gone -- Its time for the Heat to look for and find the next best thing for them -- Maybe our next attempt at a championship run will be constructed better, and differently than this last one - instead of throwing more than half your money to 2-3 guys it will be more evenly allocated, so when its time to move on from those guys or necessary to do so - the transition won't be as difficult as its is presently.

Lebron had his run with the Heat - its over. Wade had his run with the Heat - it was over a long time ago. Its time for this organization to look for their next best thing to build around.

Funny...using a coach who was fired mid season as an example of someone who did not need to be a motivator at th professional level of coaching. Will we hit 80? Will Spolestra miss the playoffs in two consecutive season?

You basically answered your own statement. Its the professional level - and the job is coaching - not motivating. Thats not Spo's job nor that of any coach in any sport. The fact that I used a coach who was fired as an example is irrelevant. I used him as an example because the biggest criticism against him was his inability to "motivate" nothing to do with the actual sport or coaching in general. Your criticism on the coaching staff is always baseless but the common denominator is inability to " motivate" so thats why I am singling out this one fact.

I can bet you can look around the league, and any sport for that matter and look at all the different coaches - some of the better coaches at " motivating" , and have quality rosters currently coach some of the worst teams in the league. And some of the least motivating coaches are the coaches of some of the best teams in the league -- why? Because that " motivator" crap is a load of bs and its as irrelevant as your home/road shit argument.
Will Spolestra miss the playoffs in two consecutive season?

Spoelstra didn't miss the playoffs last season - the Heat did - as a team - as an organization. No one person , no one factor was to blame for it - it was a series of things.

The Heat will make the playoffs this season - and after last season - that will be good enough - the expectations for this season weren't like that of the big 3 days. Its a 15 man roster - 5 start, another 7-8 come off the bench most nights -- when you lose 2 of those starting 5 and have and 3 of the 7-8 that regularly play out also and have to play the 2-3 guys you probably wouldn't play most night unless dire circumstances like now come about as is the case for guys like Richardson, TJ and UD/Amare - its hard to win.

You don't seem to understand the impact injuries have on a team or the way a coaching staff coaches. I am afraid to ask this, because I know you will find a way to outdo yourself -- but how much more ignorant can you be?

See, even Ira realizes the burden it becomes on some players and how others who wouldn't play, have to play when you are down so many guys.
