Remember the season where we ended up with the #2 pick and selected Beasley - we were projected to get the 1st pick based on odds, it didnt workout that way and we took Beasley while the Bulls took now oft-injured Derrick Rose - point is, the lottery, much like the rest of the draft is not an exact science, that is why tanking is not exactly as good of an approach to take as some idiot in here makes it seem.
As a team, and for individuals up and down the roster, the Heat still have much to play for even if the playoffs isnt one of those things - this organization doesnt tank.
Chris Bosh, Josh McRoberts, Hassan Whiteside, Chris Andersen, Shabazz Napier, Wade, when he isnt sitting out games for no reason, Deng, UD, Chalmers, Dragic - these are all guys who have or have had important roles within the team this season, but who have also been injured just way too often - This has caused the Heat to have to often play guys like Ennis, Walker, Beasley, Johnson, hell even when Justin Hamilton was around he played a short stretch of significant minutes.
Given the circumstances, the Heat are right where they should be. It is the painful and honest reality
