Meyer is getting screwed

Does this mean they never even talked to the accused in a domestic violence investigation? Wouldn't they want to see if the accused had any marks on him?

Seriously? Not only is McMurphy biased against OSU as his social media history would show, but he just got fired last year. You don't think he's anxious to get back in the public eye again? Snook specializes in writing books about a broad range of topics. 4 of his 14 are about OSU, but he's written about a variety of different topics otherwise that have nothing to do with OSU.

McMurphy was part of a broad layoff. You do get the difference right? And, this second round of layoffs targeted many of their higher paid and tenured staff shedding bloated payroll. It was detailed at length when this story broke. He's FULLY still paid that entire contract. ESPN hoped people wouldn't sit around at home and go find other jobs nullifying their contracts. He has stayed on his because his other options (and he is said to have had several) weren't paying as much. Under the terms he cannot post articles to ANY other site he wasn't already a part of at the time they parted ways. He's entirely limited to Twitter and FB. He already has his next job lined up simply waiting for his more lucrative ESPN contract to expire.

Yes, McMurphy is still working the phones and working for stories to remain relevant. No shit. He actually has a public reputation and name brand to continue. To you this is proof he's willing to throw out 30+ years of that brand as either a last ditch effort to stay in the spotlight, or some vindictive thing he has because you have tweets from 7 years ago where he made fun of OSU's scandal at that time.

Where's the proof Herman was the source of this story man. Waiting on that, or at least the same level of accusation and outrage as you have with McMurphy over a piece of evidence I have yet to see called for by open sources, not irate fans.

Because he said something 7 years ago — he is biased towards OSU? You don’t think that is a reach?

Jeff Snook had Urban Meyer write the forward for one of his books, yet as an OSU grad and author of multiple books on OSU, he is unbiased?!?

My opinion hasn’t changed on this — Urban Meyer shouldn’t even be suspended, but you need to take a deep breathe and step away, because you are a little too crazy about this. Just let it play out.

Sort of.

We took the older two, who are 7- and 9-years old, so it was a little ambitious to take them to a 2.5 hour cello concert. They recognized some of the music because I sometimes play those suites for them as they're falling asleep.

They had a good time because it was out at Blossom, but I'm sure they'd have preferred it be the Little Mermaid, or ET again.

Maybe someday they'll look back and say, "My dad once took me to see Yo-Yo Ma preform the Bach cello suites in their entirety."

Then again, if they're anything like their father, they'll probably just make dick jokes. . .

Its good exposure for them at the very least. And if they are anything like me growing up I didn't start to really appreciate what my parents did for me until I became one myself. You are probably the same way.

The fact is, he was never arrested. Some cop checked the wrong box on a form. BFD.

McMurphy was actually called out by Courtney's mom on his piece claiming texts from her. As soon as he verified he was called out he responded. I have not yet seen more from her in disputing what he claimed.

In other words, when actually called out by a principle of his story he backed his article up. Fully.

McMurphy came out and said he would never give up his source of a story no matter what, so how do you know he's telling the truth about Herman? Supposedly if Herman was his source he wouldn't give him up anyhow, so...

He's never shied away from the chance to break a big story. He was just very sloppy in how he handled this one.

Tell me - if you are a respected, credible journalist, and you see a police report that says someone is arrested and publish an article about it, are you just going to roll over and edit your story? Or are you going to provide proof of what you wrote in the first place? Why wouldn't he stand by his initial story if he truly saw that report?

I don't think he's fabricating an article necessarily. It just makes no sense that, if he truly did see this report that said Smith was arrested, why did he just roll over and edit his article instead of standing by it? That's the part that makes no sense here.
