McMurphy came out and said he would never give up his source of a story no matter what, so how do you know he's telling the truth about Herman? Supposedly if Herman was his source he wouldn't give him up anyhow, so...

So you have trouble believing McMurphy but no trouble believing there isn’t another police report that stated arrest? Even after the police chief said it could be an error?

Interesting

Pretty astute observations.

BTW, gonna be hard for you to hate Lee Brown James so much now, huh?

Not really.

I never liked Kobe, but I enjoyed all the winning that happened because he was on the team. I expect it'll be the same with Lebron.

The fact that it's been 3 weeks and this mystery report still hasn't somehow surfaced certainly makes it seem less and less likely that it exists, don't you think?

You're done saying you're completely unbiased. So I have to prove Snook's story is legit, but McMurphy doesn't have to prove anything at all?

McMurphy still has yet to provide the story he said he saw. Nobody else in the world can vouch for him. Nobody. Yet you believe him undeniably.

Snook writes that Herman tipped off McMurphy, and Carano backs up his claim by explaining how close the Hermans are to Courtney and how much they've helped her, yet Snook is clearly just a liar.

Unreal.
Do you even believe your own bullshit at this point? Because I find that hard to believe.

Where is even ONE open source (i.e. not a pissed off fan on a blog or social media) asking for proof that document existed? Just proved it. That's the ONLY wait your correlation is even in the same ballpark. You are claiming he is lying because he hasn't backed up his story when NO CREDIBLE SOURCE has called him out on it. Why on earth would anyone say he has to be 100% lying under that circumstance? :L Seriously.

And :pound: on saying because I'm sticking to logic that I must be biased now. You really don't get how far off the rails you hare do you? This is just amazing to me. It really is.

So now your proof Herman tipped off McMurphy is the estranged mother who says they knew each other closely? THAT'S proof to you?
That is seriously funny stuff right there. I did actually laugh out loud here with that.

Snook was called out. Where's his proof.
McMurphy has NOT been called out, but you demand he proves it anyway and that he hasn't is lock dead PROOF he is lying. Why is he lying and throwing away a 30+ year branding? Because he made a few off color tweets 7 years ago. Yeah, that's some real damning stuff there.

Really man, you are so spun up on this thing it's funny.

Stick to logic. Do that and put your homer hat aside. It CAN be done. Just try it. If your crazy and weird conspiracy turns out right we will all throw rocks at McMurphy together. Until then let's just stick to logic.

I don't think he's fabricating an article necessarily. It just makes no sense that, if he truly did see this report that said Smith was arrested, why did he just roll over and edit his article instead of standing by it? That's the part that makes no sense here.
He’s not fabricating the article but you absolutely are accusing him of just fabricating evidence, because that won’t wnd his career.

It would, if the police chief didn’t say all reports haven’t been released.

He's never shied away from the chance to break a big story. He was just very sloppy in how he handled this one.

Tell me - if you are a respected, credible journalist, and you see a police report that says someone is arrested and publish an article about it, are you just going to roll over and edit your story? Or are you going to provide proof of what you wrote in the first place? Why wouldn't he stand by his initial story if he truly saw that report?

He's a reporter, of course he isn't going to shy away from a story. But your point about him needing to be in the public eye because he got fired is nonsense. Not only because he didn't get fired, but also because he has a job lined up.

Entirely possible. That. Just that. Elements of sloppiness due in part to no longer having a full editorial staff to support him like he's been used to if nothing else.

He changed his story when the facts changed and posted about it after he did so! He failed miserably to annotate it inside the story itself which is customary. Again, he's not used to 5,000+ word expose type articles on FB without editors, but it's inexcusable to make rookie mistakes like that. This is why I said he's a hack.

He posted WHY he made that change and NO ONE HAS CALLED HIM OUT ON IT outside of pissed off OSU fans that are going to cry over him no matter what he does anyway. How are you not getting this?

He said himself when interviewed that he every much went to media day and travels to meet 'inside' sources face to face because you have to in order to stay relevant. That does NOT by default mean he is desperate enough to risk what he is fighting for by lying and making things up when there isn't any history of him doing that before.

If the report was never released, how'd he supposedly see it in the first place?
Do we know if he was mailed all of the info he had under the initial FOIA request? It isn't unusual for reporters to go to government agencies and view documents. I'm not saying that happened here, but there are certainly other answers than he made it up and lied on a part of a massive article that doesn't otherwise kill it if it isn't correct. That's such a demand of a stretch that it cannot be reached without real evidence. Period.

Nobody has called him out BECAUSE HE MADE THE EDIT. Nobody is accusing him of still reporting that Smith got arrested.

Please - Answer this one question, without flying off the deep end: if you are a respected, credible journalist, and you see a police report that says someone is arrested and publish an article about it, are you just going to roll over and edit your story? Or are you going to provide proof of what you wrote in the first place? Why wouldn't he stand by his initial story if he truly saw that report?

Maybe he did and maybe he is lying. If there isn’t another report why did the police chief say all reports weren’t released? An why did he say an arrest was human error?

Nobody knows any of this, but you are more than happy to give him the benefit of the doubt without batting an eye. All I want to know is why he would change his story without hesitation, go so long without noting that he changed it, and not one single time stand by his original story. Facts don't change. If he saw a report that said Smith was arrested, why did he not even one single time stand behind his initial report?

All the Chief has said is "if this report supposedly exists", he's never once come close to confirming that it does.

Jeff Snook said he's had off the record conversations with national media members and some people are saying editors will not allow them to dig on the other side of the story like he did because it wasn't the politically correct thing to do in today's climate

You're wasting your time dude. No matter how many times McMurphy changes a "story" or has his claims debunked. Whether t be non existent police reports or very questionable texts etc...People are going to want to believe what they want to believe.....Just a lot of double standards really
