You really have a hard time reading the English language don't you? What's your native language son?

I've said how many times now that I don't want to see Meyer gone and really doubt he will be? Oh, I'll throw a number out there and say maybe 15ish by now.

There is exactly one thing I've said is a fact in this case. Just one. He lied to the media when asked about this situation. That's really the only FACT we have right now. That's it. Just one thing. I have been clear as fucking day that anything else needs to wait for clarification. Period. Why? Because we didn't have enough sources to trust the context of what was said. That goes for both sides. I've told you for a week now to just calm your shit down and wait.

So why would I be pissed off if what I've predicted was going to happen comes true? :L

I guess you missed the entire discussion about what I said would happen if that OSU hack's report is even kind of true? Where I said she would then be sued and probably charged with a crime and deservedly so. Supporting her being fried doesn't go against a single word I've said since day one. At all. I'm just choosing to wait to see what the truth is before championing it. That's all I've suggested you and your freaked the fuck out ilk do.

You see I'm not bending bias to suit my needs. I don't have a dog in this hunt. Couldn't care less really which way things roll as long as the truth is served.
First off, he didn't lie, but if you have to interpret it that way go ahead.

Secondly, what makes the OSU guy a "hack" as you've called him several times? Because he brought something forward that wasn't against Urban? What gives McMurphy more credit? The fact that he's a has-been who was fired over a year ago and doesn't have a real job so he has to post on Facebook? Or the fact that he had to go back and edit arguably the largest detail of his initial "investigative report"?

Pssst, I've called McMurphy a hack at least a dozen times in this very thread. :L

Again, are you really struggling here or what?

Your guy isn't some well established and respected journalist is he? To me 90% of people who make articles are hacks in this country anymore. Real true journalism is nearly dead. And it's especially bad in sports writing.

So you think McMurphy is a hack. You think the OSU guy is a hack. Why are you even still commenting?

 @ still believing there's a chance McMurphy fabricated texts.

We obviously don't know if the victim did so, but there's no chance at all the reporter did. None. Zero.
This is why I came into this thread. Shit that went way the hell over the top with just crazy and increasingly bizarre conspiracy bullshit.

:wtf:

You've actually said several times he could have made them. It's in this thread. :L

And he was sent a screen shot of what the victim said was texts from her phone. How on earth is he supposed to change how that screen grab was sent?

Of course the victim could be making stuff up or otherwise manipulating McMurphy and/or the entire story. And I already said that clearly. But there is literally no chance McMurphy is making shit up. Whatever koolkat was linking doesn't change that in any way. Is he a hack reporter? Sure, most sports guys are. Did he make claims that aren't verified through multiple sources the way a legit reporter would typically at least try to cover a story? Nope. It's all whatever that chick said. Those are all entirely valid things to bring up.

Making outrageous claims that the reporter himself made up texts because it brought him more money is entirely insane. It simply didn't happen.

Took me 10 seconds to find one of the many posts where I called McMurphy a hack.

I have been entirely fucking clear as day in saying let's just wait to see what the facts are EITHER WAY before drawing conclusions.

You know nothing would've happened right? They couldn't fire the dude based on two police visits that resulted in nothing happening. They wouldn't have even been able to get information from the police because Smith was never charged with anything, and the Chief of Police has already said as much. There are confidentiality laws designed to protect the identity of people accused of crimes, and without anything formal on the books, they would've gotten nothing. Then what, they're gonna fire him because his wife made an unfounded allegation? I still don't know how you guys aren't understanding that this would've led to a wrongful termination lawsuit so easily.

What a crock. Coaches are fired or let go all the time for a number of reasons that don't include getting arrested. Urban brought the guy to Ohio State after his 2009 incident and so any little trouble could have given Urban reason to not bring him back .

After what came out yesterday, coupled with McMurphy's history of anti-OSU sentiment, it wouldn't be even remotely shocking if he was part of this scheme. Desperate times, you know.

So? That's your opinion, and it's a hell of a lot easier to give it now when you're looking back at it in light of current events. You can't be so naive as to think there aren't women out there who have no problem lying about men abusing them, it happens every day. When you hear about an allegation and then go to the police and they say there is no sign if it happening or nothing to substantiate the claim, you're not firing the guy.

I'm not using it is "proof", although it seems a hell of a lot more legitimate than McMurphy's report considering it's at least not the point of view of only one person and hasn't needed to be edited multiple times for lies.

I've said multiple times I think Smith is a POS. I've made my position on both he and his ex-wife clear multiple times. If you're unwilling to pay attention and only selectively try and call out things, I've got no more time to waste on you.

Why do you think Zach Smith is a POS?

Cite proof of examples you have.

Yeah, when he got actually arrested this year. If she had pressed charges and he got arrested in 2015, he would've been fired then. Pretty simple.

If that happens I'll truly eat every word of his defense, but I feel pretty confident that's not going to happen.

IF the reports on her scheme are true she found a willing and easy patsy to do her bidding and nothing more. He found what he wanted to find and didn't have the skill, more or less conviction, to dig deeper to verify before posting.

He's not the source of the problem, only a poster child for it right now. This social media driven bullshit cycle has made the mad dash to 'scoop' anything and everything worse than it has ever been before. Used to be media at least made a vague attempt at getting multiple sources and getting things right before breaking it. They only had each other to scoop, not thousands of amateurs online. He's trying to desperately hold onto being relevant in a dying medium and IMO if his story is wrong that's the extent of his faults in it.

The media these days is too easily manipulated. I've spoken out against the #metoo stuff because of how easy it has been to derail careers over one disgruntled person making an unverified claim. It happened recently to Chris Hardwick and thankfully it looks like he's going to be able to resume his job after the initial knee jerk reaction.

Dude, you've seriously got to calm down.

It sure seems to be adding up, especially with her entrapping him into an arrest earlier this year.

Fact of the matter is, Smith is gone, they're divorced, he clearly doesn't seem to be a threat to her anymore, and Urban is going to still be the coach at Ohio State. If this pisses you off, too bad.

Again. Why are you calling Zach Smith a POS?

Hey your coach abused his wife but she doesn't want to press charges. Urban- Oh OK tell him to be back at work Monday.
You'd think after him getting arrested in 2009 any hint of that would have had him gone.

She was granted a restraining order, she was granted a personal protection order (which is extremely difficult to get in Ohio) — so they don’t need any other info. The fact she didn’t follow thru with charges means absolutely nothing. A ton of abuse victims do the exact same thing, thinking the person will change or that they can change the person. Sometimes they don’t follow thru because of embarrassment or the fact they are scared of what he will do to her if she does follow thru. Sometimes the victim has personal friends of the HC who convince her not to file charges because the accused would never be able to coach again.

The reason you can’t find anyone disproving the report of these personal protection orders is simple. They were granted.

And you can continue to bring up ridiculous claims of wrongful termination, but they can fire the guy for any reason they’d like. For crying out loud — he was your WR coach and should have been fired for how piss poor your WR’s have been with all the talent you’ve had.

You continue to make excuses and try to find loopholes to justify the ignorance.

And the OSU athletic department is only making itself look like clowns as a report just came out that OSU’s AD just took a week vacation in the middle of the investigation. Seriously? I hope they fire that person just for that.

I will say that you're right about media being easily manipulated to an extent, but if that actually turns out to be the case here and what came out about her yesterday is 100% true, McMurphy cannot work again. It's a bad look considering he was fired last year and hasn't really worked since. He calls himself an investigative journalist, and he's already messed up once pretty badly with this "investigation", not to mention the fact that he published an article by only getting one person's side even though there were evidently dozens of people involved. I just can't respect him after that, and if this was all a scheme by her, he has to be done.

I'd take a step back from that line given the claims of the OSU hack reporter.

IF those stories are even half way true it would make sense that claims of her abuse would get ignored.

This whole entire story is in a wait and see state.
