If that shit from the OSU homer article is true, the fans should be entirely livid that Meyer isn't already back on the sideline. It makes no sense that it would take 2 weeks to get at least enough to feel like it's a bonus hit job by a disgruntled ex and put him back in still pending the rest of the deeper look just to CYA.

I just find it funny how fast OSU fans have accepted this as ultra true, but the other facebook article can't be trusted.

Very few think he should be fired. He's lost a lot of credibility that he had built up since his days at Florida with the lying that's for sure. He should get some sort of suspension just for keeping this guy Smith for so long. But getting fired does sound harsh. I do think the ADs days are numbered because if Urban did cover his ass and there's paperwork then the school fucked up keeping the guy this long .

And you are right — OSU isn’t responsible to the employees family — they are responsible for the employees they allow on their campus, around their athletes and around their students. They are responsible to investigate thoroughly the reports they are given. If they had done that — wouldn’t a restraining order bring a red flag? Same with a PPO, which is not easy to get from the court.

You know nothing would've happened right? They couldn't fire the dude based on two police visits that resulted in nothing happening. They wouldn't have even been able to get information from the police because Smith was never charged with anything, and the Chief of Police has already said as much. There are confidentiality laws designed to protect the identity of people accused of crimes, and without anything formal on the books, they would've gotten nothing. Then what, they're gonna fire him because his wife made an unfounded allegation? I've said how many times now that I don't want to see Meyer gone and really doubt he will be? Oh, I'll throw a number out there and say maybe 15ish by now.

There is exactly one thing I've said is a fact in this case. Just one. He lied to the media when asked about this situation. That's really the only FACT we have right now. That's it. Just one thing. I have been clear as fucking day that anything else needs to wait for clarification. Period. Why? Because we didn't have enough sources to trust the context of what was said. That goes for both sides. I've told you for a week now to just calm your shit down and wait.
