Idk I would think one would hold McMurphy accountable for reporting false information. Should the OSU investigation turn up in Meyers favor. Or you're just opening a can of worms. Allowing people to report misinformation. That holds a direct bearing on the lives of others via social media.

There is no circumstance where a school would ever fire someone based off nothing but a news report. Period. To do so would be insane and leave them open to law suits up the ass.

If the general details, not the outlying ones aren't true at all it ultimately won't kill Meyer's career and it won't have a substantial permanent impact on his perception. Don't act like the social media mob mentality crap can't be reversed because it surely can.

Just like no one should vilify Meyer until the full facts are known, neither should people create fantastic and wildly outlandish defenses slandering victims and throwing everyone else under a bus to defend him. Um, paid admin leave which isn't quite the same as a suspension. Means he's clocking lots of dollars at home and unavailable for media contact. It's more of a circle the wagon thing than an actual disciplinary action.

So many things thrown out since this broke. Hard to know what happened, who knew about it when, and why people responded the way they did, but this drama is far from a given conclusion and far from over.

I'd expect something this week though. And at worst I wouldn't expect urbs to do more than a game or two off. Wouldn't surprise me to see him face nothing the way things are going.
