his is where you are incorrect. I don't care if someones name is Urban Meyers or Brett McMurphy. You seem to be focused on your opinion of Meyers to the point you're accepting false information as fact. Im looking at something more substantial. And my source is Brad Koffel a lawyer involved in this entire situation. Again if Smith did what was said he got what he deserved and was fired. As far as everything else you're going on assumptions.
What we do know is what the Lawyer stated. Telecommunication fraud and obtaining illegal nude pictures. Which is easily traced through the electronic paper trail.....Which regardless of whet happens will hold truth. And be easily proven.
You may be into the social media courts, gossip, conspiracy theories, false reports speculation etc. . I prefer due process, facts and proper procedures point blank.....
I would suggest you read up on Social Media and the effects it holds in todays society tho. It's become a major issue on many levels that surpass college football......But then we would be getting into the political realm
Zack said in his TV interview that he was called back off the recruiting trail to talk to Gene Smith and at the next practice Meyer came up to him and told him if he did hit his wife he's gone.Facts are Urban Meyer lied when asked about Zack Smith and 2015. Fact is Ohio State eventually fired Smith.
Fact is no one had stated how or if Urban reported it and no one has stated what they did with the information and who decided to keep Zack Smith. None of that has anything to do with social media . I don't have facebook I don't have twitter .I only have instagram with family , my Marine Corps buddies and because my sons in Japan with West Pac (Marines) and they send pics. So I have no idea why you keep talking about social media.
One thing I'm wondering and I don't know if this has been brought up or is public knowledge. Who told Urban about 2015 incident? Did Zack? I wouldn't think so unless he was convinced they would find out anyway but he didn't tell them about the DUI arrest in 2013 and he had gotten away with it till now. Did the police call Urban?
Aren't I an Ohio State hater? lol. Why would I be an Ohio State hater? They don't even play in our conference. I've seen USC and Ohio State play twice live and USC won both times and I had a wonderful time watching the game at the Shoe. The fans were awesome there. Ohio State beat the hell out of USC this last year but that wouldn't make me want to hate them. So i don't know where you get that. It's Smith who I have disdain for and I'm just curious who knew what about him and why it took that long to fire him and that doesn't fuel hate.
I just had to ask. Wanted to make sure you weren't like a couple very special UofM fans (trustmeimright & mazeNblew09). You mentioned The Shoe. I miss going to game there. Haven't been to 1 since the '05 season. And I agree w/ everything you said about Smith.
Fact McMurphy reported a felony arrest in 2015 that was false. The Smith firing was based on recent events...Facts are Urban Meyer lied when asked about Zack Smith and 2015. Fact is Ohio State eventually fired Smith.

I would imagine there are several ways in which the school might have received word. I mean you did get the memo that she was in regular contact with many of the coaching staff wives right? I mean they didn't have to get any type of official notice for it to have reached someone there. Who know who heard about it first. I mean we will find out their version soon.
Fact McMurphy reported a felony arrest in 2015 that was false. The Smith firing was based on recent events...
Fact you are assuming Urban knew and did not follow protocol etc..
I'll explain the dynamics of Social media ,how it has a direct bearing on incidents like this and why a journalist reporting false news carelessly is quite dangerous shortly. For those not as familiar with social
Columbus is a great CFB atmosphere on game day.

I mean it's a bit early to make those blanket statements. We don't know yet what those wives have told the investigative committee. That group is full of high profile lawyers. They tend to know how to get through bullshit and reach the heart of the matter.Yeah but they have circled the wagons and you won't get one wife to confirm they knew what was going on I'm pretty sure. But I wonder if anyone has asked how Gene Smith and Urban found out.
From what I’ve read it doesn’t seem people understand how Social Media works. Theres a reason its a great tool for marketing and information that can be confirmed. But it can also be a weapon when used irresponsibly. Most people think of social as a venue where you just click and read and assume it to be fact. But don’t understand the complexity of social media. Just talking Twitter alone its not about followers as some may think. It runs on Twitter analytics ,Metrics, Trend data and monthly overviews.Where did I say he didn't? I said we don't know. We know he said he did. But if it was 100% true and provable why are they investigating him?
Bullshit. Most people do not believe everything they read on any social media or the web in general. This is where your strange fucking rants are always off the rail. We ALL know it's mostly BS and yet everyone also gets caught up in it at times. That's not the same thing as your constant drum beat acting like you literally are the only person in the world that knows how much total garbage is out there. This incident had nothing to do with any of that. At all. Bad reporters exist everywhere, particularly in sports 'journalism' and I think most people get that. Well, except you. You seem to believe sports writers should be held to some type of high standard that frankly even mainstream news media no longer does. Most people think of social as a venue where you just click and read and assume it to be fact.

Which means in order to profit you need to obh grab and hold attention. While some use it in a positive manner and put the work in to get the views. Others will use shock value to gain faux outrage . To start a domino effect. Gaining retweets and exposure through retweets from their target audience. That wants to believe for there own personal reasons. In order to sell a story.Where we are seeing major issues is through the Journalists using this as a safety blanket to print false reports and edit after they’ve acquired the outrage. And the story is viral.
That trickles into other media outlets be it ESPN or a click site. Where more profit is acquired. And political agendas enter the picture. Through both the media frenzy and the Political movements on Social. Which in turn has forced people into taking protective actions. Whether the incident happened or is nothing more than speculation.
Unfortunately we can discuss countless amounts of cases where this has happened. Or lives were destroyed based on Social he said she said. And don’t get me wrong no one is saying DV is ok. What people are saying is you don’t assume based on a tweet. And social media Kangaroo courts. When we have a legal system and procedures for good reason.
We have a legal system and several other systems in place for good reason. But with the nature of Social and what has essentially become “twitter court. We have a bad trend of millions of people playing judge and jury based on network set up. Even in this thread alone people are citing assumptions as facts. Rather than relying on facts and due process…..
I understand ND. The whole USC/ND rivalry. Hope it was a victorious trip to South Bend for you.
A) you’re still citing a false report and date. While basing you’re opinion on McMurphys false claims socialI know all that. People make money for clicks. That's not a bombshell.
What does that have to do with Zack Smith doing shit that cost him his job and people trying to find out if proper procedure was followed and if he should have been fired a long time ago?
A) you’re still citing a false report and date. While basing you’re opinion on McMurphys false claims social
B) Where this should be about Zach Smith who was fired through protocol. Zach has become a vehicle to use Meyers for a bigger pay day
C) This has morphed on social into the realm of a political piece .Rather than Zach. protocols or procedures
Not saying it’s fact none of it is right now. But what happens if Smiths Lawyer is correct. And the incident was due to a mistake regarding dropping off his child. After his custody visit. That led to the trespass charge he was fired for?
A lot of stories going both ways no facts atm
Are we pretending MCMurohy is innocent? If you’re main issue is DV why are you ok with a McMurohy mocking DV? Why are you so hard pressed to blame Urban when several other coaches have DV incidents in their programs. That are basically ignored? You do realize this involved two adults in an adults in a complicated relationship with little to know facts other than McMurphys claims right? And that McMurphy violates laws while leaving a paper trail during his careless reporting?Like I said we could literally cite multiple cases that confirm what the OP stated in regards to social. You can pretend if you want you seem to have made up your mind based on gossip. I’m waiting for facts and due process. I’m not basing my opinion on hearsay and social. It’s not our place to play judge and jury.LOL. Did something happen 2015? Because from Zacks mouth he said Gene Smith called him and told him to come back early from a recruiting trip. So what does that have to do with McMurphy? I know McMurphy has posted articles or what ever but I'm not reading them. I'm seeing that Zack Smith got his ass fired for shit he did way before McMurphy started writing about it. So I dont know why you're acting like Zack Smiths troubles are because of anything McMurphy did. Zack Smith is the bad guy here. Not social media.
