Mets at Pirates Series Thread

This is a little late, since the first game is over, but this is an important series for the Pirates, in my opinion.

The Mets are a team we need to do well against, maybe get ourselves right up on .500.

Good come-from-behind win today. Nice to see the bats come alive just enough, and be just clutch enough, to pull out a win.

As I observed previously, I think Pedro's destined to be streaky. Power hitters often are. As long as those cold streaks are littered with doubles, and the strikeouts come with a smattering of walks, I'll be fine with it.

Also, last night's game broke a streak of 160 consecutive games in which the Pirates failed to come back from 4 or more down, the second longest such streak in MLB history. The last time they did it was also against the Mets.

If McDonald keeps pitching like this all year, will folks consider him ace material? He's been darned impressive.

Lets just hope good pitching gets some run support.... Its hard to watch sometimes

He has been good but the baseball guys generally dont give out the title of ace unless you are consistently outstanding. If hes one of the top 15 pitchers in baseball then you can call him an ace.
