Its interesting that the two teams the NFL wants to win the most both get a bye the week before they play the 49ers.

Yeah, we fans can get into these factors, especially if its against our team.

After the initial impact, I now more coincidental, because It must be very complicated making a 17 game schedule for 32 teams? You have bye weeks, London games, Thursday games, and to a lesser extent, Monday games.

Then no team can have too many home games in the row, nor away games in a row? Then for West coast teams, there's the East Coast time early starting times?

Even if you wanted to "tweak' the schedule for the above reason, it impacts more than the 2 teams.

Bottom line is every team should just play the games and not get psyched out or worry about rest periods. Once the game is over, no one is going to feel sorry for your lost.
