So Bo has been through every look and every defense he will ever see through 14 games. Brady would have been the highest paid if he wasn't married to a super model who made more than him. Mahomes won the SB last year taking up 16.9 % of the cap. Which QB took up more last year?
The Kansas City Chiefs star is tied for 11th in average annual salary for a quarterback, earning $45 million per year.

While some might view the three-time Super Bowl winner's contract as underpaid, Mahomes doesn't see it that way.

"Not necessarily," Mahomes said when asked if he felt he's underpaid on his current contract. "I think we do a great job of managing my money, to be able to pay me a lot of money and keep a good team around me. I know we've kind of restructured it a couple of times and got the cash flow up in certain spots and [in] certain years. It's about having a good dialogue [and] good communication with the front office, with ownership. We've done that here.

"We've been able to allow me to be a highly-paid guy while at the same time build a great team around me."

Most QBs don't take "pay cuts." We can't even hope for that. Now Brady was married to a super model and all of that. That was probably a motivating factor, but I also think he valued SB wins more than breaking the teams bank.

Rodgers and Brees in their prime never took such pay cuts or compromised their salaries. Brees and the Saints had 3 straight 7 and 9 seasons despite unbelievable production from Brees.

That one year that Rodgers went to the SB that defense that year gave up 15.5 PPG. That ranks right there with many of the greatest defenses of all time.

Literally the next year the defense lost 7 starters and their defenses were very average.

Our head Coach . my guess that might be why our coach did what he did 2 weeks ago see if we have a SB team ...let them see what they can and cannot do . see if they shine . let them play full tilt

Hoping the defense isn't fool's gold. They haven't exactly played great offenses and no, the Chiefs offense hasn't been very consistent all year. The Ravens had their way with them and the Browns put up rather big numbers. Jeudy abused the DBs.

Next 3 weeks

Chargers, Bengals and Chiefs. Personally, I'm not all that confident. The Chiefs might be sitting their starters in that last game if they have the 1st seed sewn up.

I think our coaches held back the pass rush . I would tell them Do what got you here and see if that works better . because the last thing you did was not our D !

This is simple at this point it is all out to see if we have greatness this year .

If we fail it wont be because we did not try.

two weeks ago our head coach upped the annite {SP?}

Wow, I can’t believe some of you fans are complaining about our rookie QB when your team is 9-5.

That’s a better record than my Rams and we have Stafford.

Bo Nix was my favorite QB in this draft and was surprised he was the last of the 6 taken.

I think he will end up the best of that bunch.

He’s going to make rookie mistakes. As someone already posted, he’s only 14 games in and not seen every defensive scheme there is in the NFL.

Surprised JaVonte has fallen off as much as he has given the fact he has a QB that can sling it and open things up.

If you guys had a consistent run game, the team would be legit.

It will be rather intresting to see if we dial down a little because of depth or if we stay in playoff mode the rest of the season

Well if he is playing inconsistently and making lousy errors we as fans should point it out. That a problem and being that it is the 14th game, he isn't really considered a rookie anymore.

That score wasn't indicative of a great QB play. We all know it too. That game was very much in doubt and Nix played like utter crap in the first half.

Mahomes won the Super Bowl last year taking up 16.7% of the Chefs cap space.
Stands to reason the more the QB takes up the less the team has for other positions. Is that a true statement? And as far as Nix goes, to me he's still a rookie and you can expect rookie mistakes. Late with the ball, not reading the coverage correctly and overthrowing WRs.

Bo Nix is now ranked 12th in NFL history for a rookie quarterback with 25 total touchdowns. Justin Herbert holds the record with 36, Cam Newton is second with 35, and Russell Wilson is third at 30. Breaking 28 is the threshold into the Top 5. Bo will certainly be doing that. Pretty good company.

I think there are a couple of differences between Mac Jones/Daniel Jones and Bo Nix. One of the biggest is both Mac and Daniel had coaching changes from their rookie year to second year in the league. Mac lost his OC and the team decided to put two guys in charge of calling plays that hadn't done it before on the offensive side of the ball. Daniel Jones had success with Pat Shumur as his HC. They fired him and brought in Joe Judge. Judge had never been an offensive coordinator and here he is trying to direct this young promising QB.

Here in Denver I think we all know who will be the HC/OC for next season. Only question on the offensive staff is if our QB's coach gets an offer from another team for OC.

The other big thing I think is different is personality. Mac Jones especially was hated by his teammates. He had a tough time relating to other guys for some reason. Listen to Nix's teammates talk about him. They would run through a brick wall for him. Heck even the backup QB's love him and have weekly dinners with him. Daniel Jones I can't speak much about his personality but I don't ever remember a player standing up for him when he was struggling like I heard Sutton last night getting after fans for booing his QB after a couple of bad throws.

Yeah those points are good. It's just a bit discouraging to see the inconsistency. Kind of holding my breath on each pass. Payton likes things on script and he is being patient with him.

I would say the 1st two games were really inconsistent, the next two had some inconsistencies, and then these last two have unfortunately been some bad turnover moments. Not all the turnovers being his fault.

Between all of that though you probably can't point to a more consistent QB during that stretch. So we know the consistency can be there.

Stafford is what, 17 year veteran and Purdy is basically showing why he was drafted where he was drafted. I'd be surprised if the 49ers pay him a huge contract.
