Bears Fans must be mad.

Cutler's garbage time points will certainly help me out, but you don't fix what ain't broke. McCown was playing too well not to have earned the job going forward.

It appears my only chance is for Dawson to be limited to only extra points following Crabtree TD's. That missed field goal by Hauscka and my stupid choice on DST could well be my down fall. ....

On the other hand - - nicely played Tlance. .... if Philly had kept McCoy in the whole game it wouldn't be close.

it isn't quite as dire as you suggest though. If Crabtree goes off, for say 120 and 2 TDs, you will pull it out. The way Kaeps can lock onto receivers, that is possible if he picks Crabtree this week.

There is definitely a controversy in Chi-town. Cutler's supporters (realists) will say that McCown played against 4 of the worst passing defenses. McCown's supporters (dreamers) simply look at his passing stats.

They are impressive. But passing stats don't tell the whole story. They're great for FF. Wasn't McCown 2-2 in his starts? Who do I support? Whoever Trestman puts in as his starter. Even if they pull some sausage eating shlub from the stands - or from a State Farm commercial.

Fair enough. The Bears weren't going to win last night with prime Joe Montana, but the Eagles D isn't exactly stellar.

The thing is though, talk about bad pass pro but the bottom line is that Cutler does not get the ball out quick enough. At least 3 of those sacks last night were somewhere in the range from avoidable to actually being on Cutler.

McCown seems more decisive and he also seems better able to spread the ball around. I don't know though, I have watched like 3 Bears games all year. 1 happened to be McCown's last start.

I don't really think McCown is great, just that Cutler is bad.

don't sell yourself short tlance ... if I remember way back after the draft, I said I'd take your team if I had to choose.. and that was before the JC acquisition.

I have a feeling that had Barilko been around for last year's B league draft instead of taking over a miserable auto-picked team, he might have made the jump to the A league last year. He was dealt a pretty weak hand, yet he managed to make his squad competitive.

Actually I had a few players that carried me pretty much the whole season (Manning, Gordon, Graham). All I needed was an average showing from the rest. The killer was Rodgers going down - which really hurt Nelson's productivity down the stretch. I didn't have much depth whereas you had better overall team balance (not to mention those killer RB's). ....
