PG is not going to base what could be a 5 year decision on whether a guy that isn’t going to be much of a factor is there for one more year or not. By the way, if he signs with OKC PG would be making $46 million in that 5th year and he would be the same age Melo is now. No other team provides him that option. Seeing that available to Melo might be a factor alright, but it could have the opposite effect of what you are saying.
