Matt Harvey is saying he WILL pitch in the playoffs now. I Will Pitch in the Playoffs | By Matt Harvey

Yeah, he pretty much HAS to say it now, or else he looks like a major douche. But he can only start, he's not a good option out of the bullpen.

We have Matz back, plus deGrom, Colon, Syndergaard, and a jekyll/hyde Niese. Could conceivably win a playoff series without Harvey, especially if the offense is hitting, but we absolutely need him if we want to even GET to the post season.

He's got to take the ball tomorrow and shut down the Nats, because I have a bad feeling they're going to stomp us this afternoon.

He should pitch in the playoffs. As long as he's healthy there's no reason why he shouldn't be pitching.

Well, happily I was wrong about this afternoon. Niese Hyde lived up to his rep but the offense came back and the BP did great.

Still need to win this series, so...you're up, Harvey

Mets win the division if they win 1 of the next 2

Boras is a douche. I'm going to throw a party, the day that asshole dies.

Harvey should tell him to get bent and pitch. He's fine, I don't see any reason to shut him down.

boras screwed up by going public with this. it does nothing but hurt his client publicly. the whole innings count is bs. there is no proof that it actually works. he should pitch unless his arm is feeling fatigued. that Harvey interview the other day was bad. we all remember Rizzo's pompous interview when he shut down Strasberg. how has that been working out

But the mets have no incentive to look out for the best interests of Harvey. As much of a doosh as Boras is, he has actual financial incentive to look out for the best (financial) interests of Harvey.

There was a CBS minute on the radio today that made a great point. The Mets knew about this 180 limit since the beginning of the season. For them to basically ignore it has forced Harvey and his team to make this move. Yes, Harvey is the one that looks like a total selfish a-hole, but the Mets ignored agreements to make this happen.
