Yes, that is the crazy thing about it. The 2 starts prior to that one he didn't even go 4 innings in either one of them and gave up a total of 14 earned runs and 20 hits in those 2 games.

I would love to get Verdugo and one of their top 2 pitching prospects. If we can't get that package then I wouldn't mind getting their next best pitching prospect, Mitchell White, and one of their top 2 catching prospects along with Verdugo.

Verdugo probably would come in and play right away for us. He has played a lot of CF in the minors.

If you read one of the other threads, I said it would probably take 2 blue chip prospects from the dodgers to acquire Darvish. Hopefully JD doesn't make them frustrated by asking for too much. Glad we are starting to see some smoke tho. Gotta move him if we don't think he's coming back and I personally don't think he is.

The dodgers have had an amazing season and they probably don't want it to be derailed by Kershaw's injury. Getting Darvish should hold them over until Kershaw returns presumably and makes them a much more dangerous team in the playoffs with those guys as the 1 and 2 starters.

Magic Johnson stated unequivocally "the Dodgers will win the WS this season." So OK big boy, break out that big boy wallet and let's go to work on it.

But on the Kershaw front. I saw was he was throwing again now. On the other hand, this back problem is not something new nor is it going away. Besides, I would think the Dodgers would be a leading contender to sign Yu long term anyway.
