Since when have the Ducks had a top 10 recruiting class? They have done just fine having top 20 classes. This year and last, the emphasis has been on getting bigger in the trenches with 4-5 300+ lbrs in this class. The Ducks aren't going anywhere.

Oregon has finished in the top 5 in 4 of the last 5 years. That predates Mariota. And there are better players all around than there were 5 years ago. Oregon will be fine.

Heilfrich isn't Kelly. He's running Chips system with his players. Not uncommon for a new coach to have one or two similar seasons when a former departs. Then comes the slide.

Heilfrich is going to have to adapt to what has been their Achilles heel. It's either that or always be that team with O titles.

When he makes the change he'll disrupt the entire chemistry that Kelly left behind. He'll be on his own to win his way with his players.
