I'd imagine at the end of the year as the marlins finish 10 games out of a playoff spot that Mattingly will look back at this game and think "maybe I should've let Chen go for that no hitter in Seattle"

On a night when the M's got 1 hit, I can't harp on the starting pitcher for our side. They would have lost if Paxton was on the mound. It just wasn't their night.

This is the new MLB... with how the bullpen are construct these days and these guys are skilled, you're most likely going to see less and less complete games and pitchers going beyond 7ip. Understand the move.

Marlins have a strong bullpen. Like i said i understand the move solely because of how teams construct their bullpen these days. The marlins in the offseason built arguably the best BP

In one of his starts this year he lasted only 3ip while giving up 6er. Dont think they wanna risk that happening again for personal stats. Trust me, i was shocked too when they removed him but this is what the mlb is all about now. Saving starters arm while constructing a strong pen to go along with it.
