mlb teams are required to report earnings and payroll every yearCause they are educated guesses on the specifics. The only way there would be legit numbers is if they opened their books or there is a leak. Not saying those numbers are way off at all just saying those numbers are kind of like how they come out with these lists of peoples net worth.
I believe him and I think Dan and Edgr might be able to help fix that problem.Teoscar Hernandez talked more about his time in Seattle in an article published by ESPN on Monday.
"It was a really good, really talented team," Hernandez said in the article. "But we were missing something. And I think it was playing as one group, not individuals."
he's coming back in some capacity but he stated he's not interested in remaining on as full-time hitting coach. That is definitely a coaching/manager thing. Has anyone heard if Edgar is coming back?

Yankees bullpen is no match for the Dodgers offense. Ohtani, Freeman, and Muncy are all left-handed hitters and the Yankees left-handed relief pitching sucks. It's something to see previous M's players doing big things for other teams after leaving Seattle for whatever reasons. Watching the WS has been so much fun and seeing top players doing their thing has been great.
Plus watching the Yanksters 0-3 makes it all the better imo. Judge has been awol for the series. Been awesome watching Freddie getting a bomb in all 3 games, and the walkoff was FANTASTIC Seeing Ohtani return after his sliding into 2nd base shoulder injury was so great too Seeing the Yanksters losing the 4th game today will be like putting iceing (iccing?) on the cake.
Those are not the actual revenues/profit though. They are not required by MLB nor by law. They are educated guesses, which Forbes admitted when they put that article out and the MLBPA has stated over and over when the CBA negotiations happened. I’m not giving ownership a pass, I was just saying to be fair to them.mlb teams are required to report earnings and payroll every year
Kind of a blemish on JP then isn’t it? But that is interesting, that isn’t something that has been reported anywhere I don’t think.Teoscar Hernandez talked more about his time in Seattle in an article published by ESPN on Monday.

You are proving my point entirely dudeevery mlb team has to put exact numbers on revenue, payroll, and operating/overhead costs.
subtract payroll and operating costs/overhead from revenue and you get profit.
not sure if m's 2024 operating costs/overhead have been announced yet, but the m's are almost always smack at the median when it comes to operating/overhead, which is about $140-$150 million in the past couple years.
i'm not sure if mlb uses fiscal year for calculating profit or calendar years. either way, it's easy to plug in the numbers and figure out profit. if you go by a fiscal year for 2023-2024, the m's made high $80s in profit for the year. looks like it'll be significantly less next year.
