Unless it has changed, you can't sign a drafted player until a year after he is signed.

I am pretty sure if he doesn't sign by July something he goes back into next years draft. If he is signed, he can't be traded for one year. They can do a PTBNL, but that can only be for so many weeks I believe.

and while McConnell started late he is jumping right in there to make a case

zack scott started at modesto and went 1 for 6
then went to clinton ..where he is 3 of 4....so far ..for a fat .....750 ave ...lol

mariners had a good draft ....i will enjoy keeping tabs and watching these guys

Totally agree, but he holds the cards. I assume he is waiting to get over-slot money because he knows he has the leverage. Good for him.
