After thinking about this a little I think this mean that Montero is either moving up or out...I pray Jack doesn't move him for some crap this year in hopes to make a run...it's over...let Montero play out the season at first

Yeah, this is interesting. Could mean a move is coming at AAA. Kinda makes me nervous for what Jack Z is going to do, praying Jack Z doesn't do dumb shit.

My jaded Mariner fan personality makes me think Jack is doing something desperate here. I'm thinking this is prepping him for a September call up when he's not ready. If he can somehow produce a little bit it could be an excuse to keep him. I just always expect the worst with stuff like this.

Interesting that they moved him up when he was struggling in AA...

I would guess to challenge him. Sometimes a promotion gets their focus back. Sometimes it overwhelms them and your screwed, but I think it was a good move.

I'm pulling for the guy... He has a great head on his shoulders and has a lot of upside... Hopefully it helps him focus rather than the latter...
