Wow I've never seen a franchise like the Eagles implode so quickly.

1) Lose your best weapon on offense for a ? on defense (that played behind the NFLs best front 4).
2) Lose your other best weapon on offense 'because'.
3) Overpay for Mark freaking Sanchez (giving more than backup money).
3a) If you're really going into the season expecting Mark Sanchez to do anything but ride the pine, /facepalm
4) Overpay for Byron Maxwell (Flowers/Jackson are better corners and received MUCH less)
5) Bring in Frank Gore and overpay him (guy is 32 with nearly 2,500 carries under his belt)
6) Cut Trent Cole (because reasons)

Cutting the declining 30+ year old vets like Cole and Herremans made sense...until they signed declining 30+ vet Frank Gore. Then I was scratching my head.

I could understand Sanchez--the rumors are that they wanted a vet who could possibly start some of next season if they trade Foles and get Mariota--and I understood from the beginning that signing FAs like Maxwell would mean overpaying for them.

But yes...no Maclin, no McCoy, possibly a rookie QB = hard to see how this is going to be better anytime soon. At best, it seems like a scratch.
