That was with basically running out the clock the whole 4th quarter. Maybe watch the game next time instead of looking at the recap.

Congratulations on Alabama finally having a potent offense. It’s a shame no one else in that conference can come close.

Perhaps it just seemed that way to you because you actually ran as much as you passed.

4th qtr stats

Will Grier was 6-7 for 113 yards and 2 td.

You rushed 9 times for 27 and a fumble. One of the rushes was a Grier sack.

Tell us another story...running out the clock, lol. I guess it would probably seem that way to you for a team that passes almost twice as much as it runs, but for the rest of us....

I guess they could do it. That 2015 team had a pretty good offense and a decent defense...but some might say they had a very weak schedule that year.

They put up 50 twice and broke 60 once. Only one win was by less than a TD, and most of their wins were scores like 45-20. The only time they didn't break 26 points was in the opener against Good Carolina.

Mack definitely can recruit and there is good football talent in the state; it just gets spread out among too many programs. What he did for the program his first go-round was impressive enough.

That 2015 squad had some good talent but remember, much of it was still Butch Davis's recruits. I think with a halfway decent staff who can recruit and coach, we can exceed 2015. That is not UNC's ceiling and you are correct, the schedule was favorable.

Just so you'll know for the future...this is what running out the clock in the 4th quarter looks like.

  • 1st & 10 at ALA 24
(14:00 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 1 yd to the Alab 25

  • 2nd & 9 at ALA 25
(13:20 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 13 yds to the Alab 38 for a 1ST down

  • 1st & 10 at ALA 38
(12:35 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 5 yds to the Alab 43

  • 2nd & 5 at ALA 43
(11:50 - 4th) Jalen Hurts pass complete to Derek Kief for 9 yds to the Tenn 48 for a 1ST down

  • 1st & 10 at TENN 48
(11:00 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 5 yds to the Tenn 43

  • 2nd & 5 at TENN 43
(10:13 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 20 yds to the Tenn 23 for a 1ST down

  • 1st & 10 at TENN 23
(9:30 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for a loss of 1 yard to the Tenn 24

  • 2nd & 11 at TENN 24
(8:40 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for no gain to the Tenn 24

  • 3rd & 11 at TENN 24
(8:00 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 8 yds to the Tenn 16

  • 4th & 3 at TENN 16
(7:15 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 4 yds to the Tenn 12 for a 1ST down

  • 1st & 10 at TENN 12
(6:35 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for a loss of 2 yards to the Tenn 14

  • 2nd & 12 at TENN 14
(5:55 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for a loss of 2 yards to the Tenn 16

  • 3rd & 14 at TENN 16
(5:15 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for 9 yds to the Tenn 7

  • 4th & 5 at TENN 7
(4:32 - 4th) Brian Robinson Jr. run for no gain to the Tenn 7
Notice how we didn't complete a pass at the end of that from the Tenn 7 for a touchdown with our starting quarterback to our all...-american WR or attempt a field goal...like some stat padding bitches might do...no need to mention names. It does however feature 4th string Brian Robinson getting a season high 13 of his 63 carries on the year.

Diaz was also one of the only DC's to not have success under Mack. Who cares?

You’ll care in a few years.

But I don’t blame you for hoping for the best. I hope for the best for him. God knows that division needs plenty of help.

That certainly is a better way to run out the clock. Never said you clowns didn’t.

Depends on if you believe Mack or not. Per him, he was contacted multiple times for multiple jobs and nobody refuted it. There were only 2 or 3 jobs he wanted and this was one of them, and the big donors wanted him.

To think he couldn't get a job after leading Texas to the NCG this decade would be incredibly naive. I think this was simply the opportunity he wanted.

How could you refute a call that was never made? And what 2-3 jobs was he specifically wanting? I'm sure there were a few donors that wanted him back, but as much as Carolina fans want Chapel Hill to be a destination career dream coaching job it just isn't.

My bad...you scored the first one with 1:15 to go in the 3rd. the stats from that weren't in my total.

Mack never left football altogether and the people around him at ESPN are so high on him and his character. Not only would his colleagues likely have known whether or not he was fielding calls, other coaches would have too and if there was any chance he was lying, it would likely have been known by now. But either way, right out of the gate, you're saying he's a liar. I choose to believe he isn't. You have a predetermined notion about Mack to suit your own storyline. I see no need to discuss this any further. Have a good one!

It’s all good. Truthfully I thought we ran more than that. We didn’t run out the clock at all. That’s my bad.

It’s actually kinda embarrassing we only scored 40. But we had far worse embarrassing moments against worse teams.

What he did to this and other kids is pretty shitty.

UNC football has lost 4 commitments this week

This kid specifically, was told it would be in his best interest if he decommitted his scholarship offer from Fedora by Mack Brown. His Parents said as much on Facebook posts. That may be business as usual in Texas, but not so much in your home state.

You stated Mack Brown had several offers, from who? Again, it's hard to refute an ambiguous statement like that, plus he has been in the ESPN studio and away from coaching for five years. If watching it on TV and commenting is like never leaving football, then nobody that's ever played has ever been away from football.

No, I'm not a fan of Mack or his brother as football coaches.

I think this is a good hire by North Carolina.

Mack will do fine. He already knows a lot of people from the first time he was there. He'll fund raise a lot of money for them, and build some good shit.

That's what he's best at.

The dude had all the resources and talent in the world at Texas and couldn't get to 28 points a game on a regular basis. Doubt he does so out of retirement at a basketball school.

So glad im not a reporter for a sports site. My first question would be are you going to make them go to class this year or will that continue to be optional.
