Riley is very, very tough on QBs. Most tell their QBs one of two things. "Don't try to win the game for us. Just manage things and don't lose it for us." Riley's voice is "don't lose it for us AND also, go out and win it." This may explain why he's done well with transfer QBs. The two so far were "out in the real world" and had some negative experiences which toughened them up mentally.

There are several other HCs and OCs from the old Leach tree that attempt to do the same. So far, Riley is the best at accomplishing it because he's adapted the offense and he's the best QB whisperer at this point.

From what I saw of Mack, he doesn't have that temperament. He's also going to need to evaluate and develop talent better than his most recent stint.

Get those bifocals out Mack. I wouldn't exactly say they play a good schedule. The ACC sucks

Now, if Mack can just "coach him up" while leaving him alone, everything will be great.

LOL... yeah most teams go into games wanting to score a lot of points. It helps to have 2 Heisman QBs.

Well, his Tar Holes version 2.0 will open against a pretty pathetic defense in 2019. It'll likely be a score fest.

Son, outside of Bama and Georgia the SEC is a fucking joke.

Near bottom of the SEC west Ole Miss whipped the shit outta a Texas Tech team Oklahoma barely beat 51-46.

Of course, Murray threw 2 interceptions to start that game didn't help, but hey that's football - at least he didn't do it against good competition where it would matter.

Anybody want to take an over/under bet on the number of times North Carolina scores 50 points in the Mack Brown 2 era? I think if you limit it to P5 teams it has to be 2 or 3 if he does really well.
