ok, so the plot thickens...

Marshawn Lynch of Seattle Seahawks wanted $5 million more this season - ESPN

Lynch was holding out for an extra $5m on top of his current salary and ended up getting the very same deal that was offered him in May when he was going to hold out. He was told to get back to camp by Friday of this week or they would fully enforce the penalties for missing camp.

So now that we know the Seahawks fully got their way the question is how will that impact Lynch and his relationship with the team/coaches.

He's his own dude to begin with and now he likely feels a bit snubbed by the team.

I guess we will find out soon enough. I think he'll be fine, he tried to over play his leverage and at least the Seahawks threw in some money, to help the situation. Despite Lynch talking retirement, I think he will want to continue his career and play hard.

That's the thing though, he didn't get more money. He got just what they said they would do a couple of months ago. Had they upped it at all maybe he feels better about it.

OK, but they could said every thing is set in stone a couple of months ago with zero extra dollars.

Also regardless if he happy or not, it comes down to wanting to continue his career. A great season would mean that either the Seahawk keep him or some other team signs him to maybe a better deal. I think he'll come out on fire myself.

I think he saw the writing on the wall with Turbin and Michael possibly getting more carries which would hurt his performance bonuses. They guaranteed those bonuses and stuck to their guns regarding the rest of the contract and that was the best he was going to get. PC's approach is much more like a college. New players moving through consistently except a few important positions and special players that are young. Marshawn is special but not on the younger side.

and again I will reiterate my hope for Beast Mode. A trade to the Raiders would be win-win.

I'll stop now.

Lynch won't be taking any games off even if he feels the team wronged him. Lynch like us knows he's probably going to be cut next offseason because of the cap, so if he under performs he won't get that big contract but if he puts up monster numbers teams will be knocking down his door for his services and that will be his final big contract of his career. He'll be ready to go week 1.

Ok, just for fun what do you think the Raiders would give up? Are you confident with Turbin, Michaels, Ware and Coleman as the backfield?

Maybe a 4th rounder at best but chances are slim. Nobody is going to give top picks for a 30 yr old RB, plus you can draft a good young RB in the top rounds if needed. Also, the Raiders could wait for Lynch to be cut in the offseason and put a bid on him when FA opens up.

I would still count on Lynch getting 1100yds and 9-11 TD's. He will lose some carries but I don't think his numbers are going to decline that much.

Ok, I shall hold onto him them. will he be more of a 1st and 2nd down back?
