LeBron has 10 rebounds tonight and then misses the jumpshot.

Tie ballgame at the end of three. We should put these guys away in the fourth.

This is ridiculous. We should not be struggling with a 2-13 team.

Well, we pulled the game out and go to 10-7, finally.

We tie the Nuggies for 6th/7th place in the Western Conference. If the Lakers keep clipping along, we may be a contender after how many years? Excellent.

We pulled it out, not pretty, but a win. Lonzo played better. I was soo high on Clarkson, but he cant start for a bad NBA team. I really thought he would be our starting sg. I was wrong.

I dont know. He seems to be missing the agressive gene. He better get it or he will not be in league long. When he is on the court , you only have 4 possible scores. A guard has to be able to make them pay if left open. Not shooting Airballs.

He'll always have a spot in the league because he is an elite level passer who plays solid defense.

But if he doesn't improve his scoring, he won't live up to his draft status. He'll basically become Ricky Rubio with defense.

What's frustrating is that on the rare occasions where he's aggressive, good things tend to happen, but then he stops. Last night he got aggressive for a stretch and got right to the basket about 5 or 6 times.

Then, he was aggressive again, had a layup, but turned the ball over trying to throw it out to a guy at the 3 point line. :gaah:

Lonzo Ball was a bad pick. If you can't shoot, and you are not a 7 footer and you can't rebound you don't belong in the NBA. He has had plenty of time to get his shot and he has not so I'm guessing he won't.

It took Jason Kidd about 4 or 5 years to develop a decent shot. Took Magic about the same amount of time.

All wins are pretty.

Some are just prettier than others.

I know but Magic was winning games for the Lakers from day one and so was Kidd for his team, I don't see a Magic or a Kidd in Ball. So far.

lol

Magic also joined a team that had Kareem, Silk Wilkes, etc. too.

Lonzo's passing and court vision is on par with both Magic and Kidd. What he appears to lack is their aggressiveness and he definitely lacks Magic's charisma.

Well that's true Magic did have a bunch of talent around him but now so does Ball. So we will see how and if he improves. But to compare Magic and Ball is something I don't get. There is no comparison as far as I can see. But we will see. If he is still having bad games at the end of this season he will be good trade bait. So we have that.

That team Magic came to was stacked.

Magic could make superstars out of ordinary players. Ball does not have that ability as of yet. Maybe one day but not now.

He has the elite passing skills and court vision of Magic (or at least close to it). Magic himself has said as much.

What he doesn't have, or maybe better stated...what we haven't seen from him is the aggressiveness and desire to win that Magic had. He also lacks Magic's leadership, imo.

He can get away without having Magic's leadership skills (not everyone can be a leader). But if he wants to live up to his draft status, he needs to become more aggressive offensively. He doesn't need to take over games like Magic could do, but he needs to look to score more so that teams can't sag off of him defensively.

Agree to a point. I can't think of anyone that Magic made a superstar out of. He definitely made players better because he got them the ball on time and where they liked it.

Lonzo does too. The difference is, Magic was passing to the likes of Kareem, Wilkes, Worthy, etc., etc. A whole lot easier to make them look good than a bunch of rookies and veterans on 1 year deals.

Lonzo's in his 2nd season and he's had to adjust a lot with all of the player movement. Now, he has to figure out how to play with Lebron.

I don't know if Lonzo will ever live up to his draft status or if he does, if it will be with the Lakers. I just think it's way too early to be saying he was a bad pick. The guy is playing in his 70th game tonight. He doesn't even have a full NBA season under his belt.
