Negative. Made the comment back in April to one of the regulars that Murphy was a slow starter, but he would come out of his slump and be average again. JTA told me I was crazy and that Murphy was a stud. The stats said so. Mostly left it at that.

K so when is he planning on coming out of his slump because last I checked, 2 games of hits dont do that

did a little research. alfaro just came off the dl and played in a double header yesterday. they probably pulled him to give him a little rest if he's fresh of the dl and plays catcher. imo

I heard he actually was involved in something. Don't know how close it got though.

What a great surprise!!! It was getting late on the east coast, so I hit the sack after the Rangers fell behind 11-7. Sure didn't expect this when I woke up this AM!!! Great victory!!! Soto rocks!...Martin too.

But what the heck was going on with our BP? A little concerning to say the least...hopefully it was a collective brain fart and they'll be back to normal today.

As I said yesterday, if I were the Marlins, I would ask that Martin be included in a Stanton deal, and if I'm JD, that would be the line I wouldn't cross. Kid is gonna be a superstar. 4 years from now, I don't think you would give Martin straight up for Stanton

Holy mother of RISP...I just watched the condensed version of the game (kinda glad I missed it, would have of cracked a carotid or something)
SOTO AGAIN!!!!! and Leo of course. :yahoo: We went from being shut out to THAT. This has been one crazy ride
:omg:

So.....
thrilled, AND worried about Cruz... AND worried we don't get a bat in addition to possibly losing Cruz.

I just got up, need a nap already. Too bad Cruz didn't fail a test last year when he wasn't hitting like this, then he'd be in the clear like Barfolo and Melky. Yeah, that's fair. :L
hope we get some answers soon, at least we'd know what we're dealing with.

ALRIGHT RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to lay down, head is spinning.
:D

Little concerned about Ross. Throws hard but many times without location and no movement. Soria was having control issues. Offense bailed the pitching out last night.

It's a little concerning I agree, but we HAD to start hitting to even have a chance. I'm not so worried about the pitching, despite being horrible the Angels do have the ability to hit like they did....I'm going with just-one of-those-things.

like I mentioned before, ideally we get some answers about Cruz and hopefully another bat soon
fingers crossed

It all depends on what Stanton we're going to get. If he's an every day player that's going to hit 30 hrs and knock in 100 rbis for the next say 8-10 years without being super injury prone then I would do it in a heartbeat. We heard the same things about Edinson Volquez when he was dealt but if you can get a guy of Hamilton's talent and caliber and give up a good pitching prospect then I am totally ok with it because he's going to play every day for many many years and be a huge middle part of your lineup. If it takes Perez being included in a deal to get Stanton then I am all in because this organization will still scout and develop prospects including pitchers where they have excelled at the last few years.

Heard on the Musers this morning that in the first week of the season Berkman would go up to all the players in the clubhouse and ask them how it felt losing the 2011 WS and Cruz missing that ball. If he did that then he is one sorry sack of shit.

The Berkman comment is true - believe he asked them during Spring Training (on his first day). Its friendly banter with new teammates.

(i cant find the article where he was asked about it though)
