It's Ealy and Creed then unknowns on the OL, no?

Actually, no. OL should be very solid with LT being the only unknown, but it’s a big one. Hayes, Creed, and Robinson will make up very likely the best interior in the conference and may be top 5 in the country. Ealy is solid, but has work to do to reach his ceiling. Played hurt a lot last year.

LT is a different story. Our LT situation was a dumpster fire last year. Bedenbaugh missed horribly on evaluations of guys like Finley and Swaby, and this is looking like a make or break year for Brey Walker. Swenson never looked worth a damn last year struggling through a shoulder injury but the problem is his footwork was trash all year too. The hope is that the talented RS freshman Stacey Wilkins has put on enough good weight to usurp him this season, but it won’t be without growing pains and that’s even if he’s able to overcome Bedenbaughs propensity to try to force upperclassmen into the lineup at times.

Brooks is absolutely not another Anderson.
Brooks: att-274 yds-2067= 7.54 avg | rec-20 yds-136=6.8 avg
Anderson: att-200 yds-1285= 6.42 avg | rec-17 yds-281=16.5 avg

Anderson was behind a far superior line and didn't have to deal with Hurts sucking up carries.

So you're right...he's absolutely not another Anderson. From a YPC standpoint, he's superior.

Creed was overrated last season as a center.. He wasn't nearly as effective as his season before. I'm sure he'll bounce back this season

He definitely showed some holes. Probably because he wasn’t flanked by two guards guaranteed to get drafted this season. I expect the interior to look exceptional this season. I’m nervous as hell about LT though.

The numbers don’t tell the whole story. Anderson was a far superior route runner and receiver and could also pop yards when it looked like there were none. Anderson could get the edge on defenses like Georgia. Brooks lack of elite speed and athleticism showed up badly against LSU’s defense. Brooks is a very good back who will probably have a cup of coffee in the NFL but mark my words, he will never be the premier back for an NFL team.

Numbers tell enough.

Not talking about the NFL.

The numbers tell a different story when not facing soft big 12 fronts. Brooks is a very good back. He is not on Anderson’s level.

Sorry, but it’s the truth. Elite front 7 guys don’t frequent the Big 12 teams. They just don’t. Texas gets their share, and Oklahoma can as well (more so linebackers and DEs) but the rest of them ain’t pulling those elite guys to play in the first and second levels.

Please tell me outside ksu who is exactly is a run heavy team. This conference is a game of mismatches which put pressure on LBs and safetys. But maybe I'm wrong, ACC, big 10 and Pac are monsters along the front right?
