Direct correlation to coaching. Look we knew the Lions were going to blitz early and often (like week 1) yet Turner came out with 5-7 step drop backs, long routes and no where to dump off the ball thus, Wentz either has to run, hold the ball too long or improvise until a player gets open. It was poor game planning by the offensive staff. The Lions are a direct reflection of their coach and play with their hair on fire. They are overly aggressive, come at you in waves and don't care that you know this. Other teams will actually "game plan" for this Lions identity and kill them with quick strikes and game changing plays over the top and the Lions will likely finish with 7-9 game win total. Its communication with the players
Jamin Davis is not a professional
Manage your playersHow do you fix communication on the field when we bust coverage? Its on the players. Coaches cant do everything

When it takes a complete half to adjust in the NFL, you lose. If you studied the Lions week 1, you would have know they were blitzing over 40% of the defensive snaps. The plan should have been very similar to week 1 for us. Philly will rush 4 however and get home you watch.oline did a poor job blocking. How can you say that about the 2nd half with poor play calling? We moved the ball. First half killed us, but we did adjust.

I understand what you are talking about and stand by my comments. It is a two way street. We screw up simple things like leverage .... of course we are not the only team to do that. Saying it is all coaching is not correct.Look I am talking about systemic failures like constant miscommunication, poor tackling , gap discipline, schemes that don’t fit players , evaluating talent .
I am not talking about the occasional screw up
Perhaps not, but he's had less than 2 years of practice at being one. Del Rio and RR on the other hand have had a lifetime of practice at it. What's their excuse? Publicly singling out Davis after the Jax game when multiple players played poorly imo wasn't a professional thing to do.Jamin Davis is not a professional
Those are 100% on the coaches and talent evaluators who in part are the coaches for the Skins since RR is the Skins GM.Look I am talking about systemic failures like constant miscommunication, poor tackling , gap discipline, schemes that don't fit players, evaluating talent.

Oft injured Chase Young was a mistake, we could have had Justin Herbert and been set a QB for a decade. His second year was a bust and he was too busy making commercials to attend OTA's that year.
and thats also a part of it , our coaches arent holding them accountable for the same systematic mistakes they makeI understand what you are talking about and stand by my comments. Hold people accountable.
The thing that is a head scratcher is JDR has been a successful DC .... not HC. I don't know where the disconnect is .... well that isn't completely true .... I have always believed Dan is the problem on and off the field. If there weren't so many failed coaches, failed teams I would agree that it is all coaching these guys have been playing football forever. They have to understand how to play defense. I will say I was not excited when RR was hired and at no point in his Washington career I feel the same way. That 2 point decision last week was idiotic.and thats also a part of it , our coaches arent holding them accountable for the same systematic mistakes they make
A professional will not post to IG undermining his coach. Are coaches in the NFL not allowed to publicly criticize a player who plays poorly? I mean the question was asked about Davis and both RR & JDR echoed the same evaluation of Davis. Now, is it only Davis playing poorly? Absolutely not but the reporters questions keep getting asked specifically of Davis (1st rounder) and not Holcomb (5th rounder) for obvious reasons. Perhaps from the neck up Davis is just not getting it. You want to motivate a player? Call him out publicly and in front of teammates.Perhaps not, but he's had less than 2 years of practice at being one. Del Rio and RR on the other hand have had a lifetime of practice at it.
