How is it coaching if there is bad communication or coverage busts on the field? How is it coaching if a player misses a tackle where the player does wrap up properly or take the correct angle? These guys are supposed to be PAID professionals you would think they know how to do these things.

its the FO's job to get the players who can perform , its the coaches job to teach scheme and technique and make sure the players know this before putting them out on the field . its the coaches job to put guys in position to make plays and have them play to their strengths

it is systematic with these breakdowns and now we have public back and forth among players and staff

IF an NFL d coordinator had to teach an NFL player how to tackle that is awful . I agree JDR doesn't not blitz enough but on the Swift TD, the play should of been made by Mccan even though there was a busted coverage. Your players have to perform. McCann was in position to make the tackle and he didn't. St Juste was in the position to make the INT and he didn't. How in the world is that coaching???

players didn't make the plays in the two examples I provided. Wow the fans love to hate this coaching staff. Well, I should say the posters on here. Where are all the Scott Turner haters? The offense got way better players hence a better offense.

It's definitely scheme we just don't have the players to run the zone Del Rio has to change things up and move some players around

I agree we have a good chance of sweeping the AFC South .

Sweeping the AFC South, Bears, Falcons, Giants twice is eight right there. If they want any shot at the playoffs those are must wins.

Right now we have bad safeties and CBs who cant tackle. What scheme do you want to run to remedy that?

Something other then he is running right now it wasn't very good last year and it's definitely not working this year

Funny story. The 3rd down defense is actually top 5 right now. Probably because teams aren’t having many 3rd downs when playing this team though. Lol

dean if you see a problem as a coach it’s your job to fix it .

Anyone with football IQ and knowledge knew McCain sucks at his job. Sure he flashes, just as Jammin Davis flashes but he sucks too. Our LB core and secondary are awful at the moment and we need to upgrade personnel outside of Curl & JSB.

Anyone with football IQ and knowledge knew McCain sucks at his job. Sure he flashes, just as Jammin Davis flashes but he sucks too. Our LB core and secondary are awful at the moment and we need to upgrade personnel outside of Curl & JSB.

I agree about the upgrade. Davis has an excuse b/c he is still learning. No excuse for McCann. Supposed to be a vet.

Coaching! You get into the classroom, watch film, identify offensive scheme and what the opposing offense is trying to accomplish and defensively you scheme to limit the offense with mixed overages, blitzes, necessary communication regardless of what scheme you are running from play to play on defense. If you are going to disguise and line up in a certain coverage but rotate into another coverage then communication is paramount between all of the back 7, nickle or dime package personnel. Anotherwards, know your assignment, communicate effectively and do your job! This has to be drilled over and over and over in the classroom or on the practice field.
