As far as their play goes both Warford and Reiff were excellent players when Linehan was running the offense if the current regime is to stupid to match the scheme to the players they're the ones that need to go not our only decent offensive linemen.

I wouldn't go as far to say they were both excellent in 2013. The scheme fit helped their play not to mention Reiff had a vet in Sims next to him that was still playing better than just decent in 2013 and even though Raiola was considered by many in here as shit he knew how to make line calls and Swanson hasn't been able to grasp that yet nor has he been able to stop getting his stuff pushed in on the regular. I don't see the latter becoming any better anytime soon.

I'm still in agreement with you that Reiff should be extended.

Osmele just got paid 11.7M per as a LG.

a lot of tackles got underpaid too Okung, Andre Smith, Ryan Harris, and Bobby Massie. Reiff is coming off a down year this is the time to negotiate even if its just a short extension.

Okung hurt often over career.
Andre Smith over-rated his entire career but could be almost decent at RT only.
Bobbie Massie is a complete piece of shit that the Cardinals didn't want and the Bears screwed up by signing (which makes me salivate for Devin Taylor to rip Cutler to shreds).

Oh and add Beachums contract to the list. The Osmele contract was just plain stupid, but thats what you get with GMs that got to be first out of the gate on FA signings Osmele is no better than any of the guys listed.

They are just as team oriented as the rest of the defenders a bad pass rush can mean the difference between a CB having to lock down his receiver for 3 seconds or 7 seconds. All the truly great corners over the years had a matching great pass rush.

Revis played on many teams that did not have great pass rushers. Jets and Pats were not aggressive defenses nor were the Bucs. Most of the great ones can cover all day on most plays. Pass rushing can be futile these days as QBs are allowed to throw the ball away at will (used to be grounding) and QBs are much more athletic and run more often.

Pass rush specialists come into the league every year. Good CBs do not. I would rather pay the CB first.

Rex Ryans defense isn't aggressive? Revis had a severe drop off when he left the Jets. Especially the year in Tampa he was terrible.

Pass rush also can tip balls and force QBs to throw before their feet are set causing turnovers and incomplete passes making the secondary stats look better.

Of course I agree with that and no one can cover indefinitely, but he did well except for 1year with the Bucs. Before the Jets he was sick when he first started with the Bucs. He is getting long in the tooth so he is not what he used to be either. Just saying the game is changing in that QB pressure needs to be more group oriented. 1 superstar and a bunch of scrubs is not going to get it done
