Geno Atkins signed an extension for 11 million a year. Suh's rookie contract before playing a snap was 12 million a year. It is obnoxious to think that Suh is now being paid EIGHT MILLION more than Atkins per season. Basically -- a team could hypothetically have Atkins and Ngata at their DT's for what Miami is paying Suh.

It's not obnoxious. It's how the league works. Look at Stafford's contract. Can't even beat winning teams. It's not surprising at all.

I've never claimed Suh would finish with more sacks etc than Watt. Watt is your thing.

I haven't made any claims about the dolphins or the lions for the upcoming season, other than I believe the Lions defense will perform better on a PPG basis than they did in Suh's 1st 4 years (or roughly giving up 25 ppg).

I couldn't care less what the dolphins do as a team.

I just figured since you seem to believe Watt is a scrub (i believe that is what you called him) and Suh is one of the greatest ever -- I would offer you an avatar bet and all Suh would have to do is be more productive in any single category I listed. I could list more of them if you'd like? I was going to put forced fumbles and fumble recoveries, but we know Suh isn't one to force turnovers, so I just listed the main one's.

Suh has had a season with 35 tackles and a season with 36 tackles, as well as a season with 4 sacks and a season with 5.5.

That is why I have stated I wouldn't pay that much for any DT. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to Suh because he left for more money -- I don't blame him one bit. This is his job and he owes nothing to any of us.

Geez -- here I thought that would be a slam dunk wager, since the success of our defense was because of Suh and now he is on Miami. Guess you aren't as confident in Suh as I thought.

As far as a team wager -- I'm not your guy. You have to rely on the offense to be successful and I have zero faith in Lombardi right now. Lord knows what kind of screwed up schemes he comes up. I do have faith in the guy who turned our defense around though, which is why I made the offer.
