36 touches yesterday for Connor...0 for Samuels/Ridley on OFC. I think Switzer lined up in the backfield a couple of times and, but Connor played 77 or 84 snaps on OFC.

Maybe he didn't want fresh players in there handling a wet ball, but we'll have to see how that holds up if/when Bell does return.

Yea I'm not sure if that was simply making a statement for the team, or for the fans, or directly to Bell? Maybe not even a statement at all like you said. Ridley being the only player with experience behind Conner, you would think Tomlin would feel comfortable giving him some touches to give Conner a rest. I saw numerous times that Conner called off somebody from the sideline. Seems like it was more Conner's choice than anything.
