There sure is a lot of "if Philly had Dez" in this thread.

Often you will find people using the best players at their position to try to make a point. If you have a problem with us using Dez we can just use a different receiver. To put it in perspective at least from my perspective Cole Beasley would probably beat out any receiver the Eagles have.

There's a great possibility he bolded will make one certain Eagle fan go nuts.

Ok how about we try out the following:

"If Philly had Desean Jackson..."
"If Philly had Maclin..."
"If Philly had Shady he would be their best WR..."

Another week, another chance to visit the ROY question.

Who you got? I'm going with Dak. Lower expectations so he has far outgained them, showing locker room leadership, continues to impress on the field (remember it was the game against CLE that got Wentz his player of the week award).

Zeke is impressive, but Dak is involved in every offensive play.

Can we revisit this thought now? 1/2 way through the season I have it Zeke, Dak and a distant 3rf Wentz

right now to me it is no question.

Zeke.
& that is no disrespect to Dak, but even when Zeke is getting hit & or touched in the back field or whenever he is pushing forward a good 2 to 6 yards.
You put him in open field & he isn't getting caught from behind. (since Darrell Green is retired) or even getting 2 hand touched in some cases. But primarily since most will use that fact he has the best o-line (or one of ) against him. He also leads in yards after contact. he is probably/hopefully the most complete back the Cowboys has had.
Power/speed/blocking/willingness...... toughness still to be determined (but looks good so far)
Barring injury I could see him surpassing the likes of Smith & Dorsett, since he has attributes of both. Smith didn't do what Dorsett did, & Dorsett absolutely didn't do what Smith did.

Barring some catastrophe, it is almost a lock for Zeke at this point. I'm as impressed with Dak as anybody but Elliot will likely be in MVP talks and could very well be the leagues top rusher as a rookie. He is on pace to shatter all the rookie running records and be mentioned with guys like Campbell, Sanders, Dickerson and A.P. Could even be like Dickerson and win ROY, MVP, and offensive player of the year in the same season. Not saying he will but it is possible. He's on pace for almost 1800 yds rushing and over 2200 all purpose yds. That is pretty amazing. And please people, don't bring the O-line into it. Yes, it's a factor but it doesn't take away what a great year the kid is having.

well...maybe not rookie of the year but philly fans remain convinced they have the MUCH better QB for the long haul cause of Dak's supporting cast. Not like cowboy fans haven't heard that tune.

There is zero doubt in my mind that Z. Elliot is the machine that's driving the Cowboys. Prescott has been impressive, but basically everything runs off of the rushing attack. He's clearly the OROY IMO.

The Cowboys OL is getting most of the credit this year, while Wentz is a one man show.. IMO

Seems like Wentz v Prescott is the new Luck v Wilson? That should reassure Dallas fans...

Yes Wentz has a terrible Oline there ranked all the way back to #2

Ranking all 32 NFL offensive lines entering Week 11
The Cowboy OL is getting all the hype as of now.. In fact, when they talk about the Cowboys it starts with the OL..
Hey, no doubt Dak and Zeke are good, real good.. I just think Wentz is the OROY as of now.. Dude is a one man show for the most part.. Again, this is just an opinion of an outsider looking in..

No argument but Wentz's OL isn't playing like chopped liver, and any one who suggests so don't know what their talking about.

Zeke all the way. I will say Dak vs Weintz will be a fun rivaly to watch for years to come.
