??

He's rates just as poorly this year as he has in years past, thats the eye test and the numbers... not sure what box score you're looking at
The box score that says he keeps getting put in the OF. Maybe Woodward is the only manager dumb enough to play him there, but at least one MLB manager thinks he can play the OF.

My comments have nothing to do with how well he plays, only that he keeps getting put out there. If there isn't a possiblity that he could play in the OF anywhere else then maybe we should have a discussion about the ineptitude of the manager. Either some managers think he can play in the OF or we have a manager who makes mistakes no other manager would make.

I think its more of a commentary on Mazara's defense

Pence with a grand slam.
I was just thinking before that HR why wasn't Pence playing after his good game yesterday. Hope he stays in the lineup in case it goes into extra innings.

Their BP looked like ours especially in the 8th. 4 runs on 1 hit.

It isn't like Nomar is DHing when Choo is playing in the field though. I think Nomar has DHed twice and Choo has played in the field 15 times.

There are a variety of reasons Woodward would give for why Choo has played in the field so often, but other teams have some of those kinds of reasons and others as well.

It might be there are only a handful of possibilities all across baseball, but I think just because a team is in the NL, that doesn't rule them out completely. Unless Woodward is severely mistaken Choo can still play in the OF since half of his starts have come in the field. He would have to be a definite improvement for a team offensively over what they have currently.

His leadership seems to be praised more of late, so that might be a factor in a team wanting him as well.

All of that aside, I still don't think the Rangers would be interested in trading him or Minor. If they don't trade them, I think it will be because the Rangers want Choo and Minor around next year. There should be a market for both as long as we pay close to half of Choo's salary.

About time. The guy was not MLB ready. Maybe some day.
Good to see they made this decision. I just don't think DDJ has much of a future with the Rangers. He doesn't have a very bat and no arm.

DDJ has been optioned to Nashville.

I kinda feel bad for the guy, but we did take him off the scrap heap once already and he’s had tons of chances.

I think we have guys on the bench who could be more productive. I wish they would cut into odors playing time, but obviously that won’t happen.

DDJ was treated well and more than fair. Wish him and family well.
